Hinton is the worst of the worst. Very nice but clueless and his class is pointless. His essays are graded on random points and you are lucky if you do well. Avoid his class and just wait till another professor offers to teach it(which I heard is soon).

One of the single worst classroom experiences I have ever had. Tests cover seemingly random with incredibly homogeneous material. Despite asking very banal and simple questions, answers to essay questions are expected to be exactly specific, despite it being impossible to know what Dr. Hinton wants. Avoid if at all possible.

Great man, terrible teacher. All through class you think everything is common sense and then on the tests he asks really obscure questions all about the slides. Slides are from the txtbk publisher and he adds his own information to them. Tests on the stuff he adds. He is a nice guy but the truth is I don't feel like I've learned anything. Stay away

One of the sweetest men you will ever meet! Dr. Hinton cares about his students and is always willing to help. Participation is a MUST. Tests are difficult, but very doable if you actually study. Other than studying for tests, there is little to no work required outside of class.

Well, if you want to hate your life, and always be angry, this prof is perfect for you, this man is the reason i am switching my major. Very nice man. Starts every class out with scriptures that can be applied to management. One small paper right at the beginning about the syllabus. Four tests and a final. The tests are difficult, and sometimes studying doesn't seem to help much. Class is very easy to sit through; it's not hard at all to obey his computer usage rules. Good prof.

A polite, humorous gentleman, Dr. Hinton is knowledgeable about business and business theory. On one level, this is quite obviously an intro course for management. Look a little deeper, however, and you'll get a taste of what life must be like in middle management. Don't worry, though, you can survive if you put your mind to it. :)
