Dr. Goode really cares that his students understand the material and do well in his class. He provides lots of extra credit opportunities throughout the semester and is available to answer any questions students have. Attendance is mandatory though and this is not an Easy A. Homework is heavy.

He's an amazing chemistry teacher! He really cares about his students and you can get an A as long as you put the effort out. He's a funny guy and gives extra credit on all his quizzes for knowing old songs; he gives a lot of extra credit. The material is hard, but he'll help you get through it.

Dr. Goode is by far my favorite professor I've had. This is the only teacher that I really feel like cares about your success. The class is incredibly work intensive, but you come out of it a much better student and an expert in labs. Getting an A is manageable by any honors student so long as you do the work and the extra credit. Great teacher

My favorite Professor I've ever taken. Not an easy class, but if you work hard, you'll have a good shot at making an A. He grades very fairly even though tests questions might be rough and he gives lots of extra credit.

Dr. Goode is fantastic, he is in love with chemistry and tries to get his students too as well. He cares that everyone learns the material even though at times it may seem impossible to grasp. If ever you're unsure of something then ask him and he'll gladly help. His tests are insanely long and difficult but he tries hard to give you partial credit

Has an awkward painting in his house. Lab is a part of the course and lab-based questions ARE on the exams. Lots of extra credit (both in exams/extracurricular) but don't expect an easy A bc you're an Honors student. Ridiculously hard exams and his lectures won't be teaching you material. Definitely look to recitation quizzes and online homework

Dr. Goode is one of the most genuine and caring professors you will probably meet in college. While the class is difficult, he makes it enjoyable by being passionate and absolutely loving what he does. Be prepared to put in the time to be successful, and he will be there to help you along the way along with his amazing TA's.

Dr. Goode is one of the impactful professors I've ever had. He really cares about his students' grades, and if you go to his office he is more than happy to explain anything. For a tough subject that's even tougher in honors, he makes chemistry make sense. Expect to spend a lot of time doing work outside of class though- long homework and labs.

Have no doubt this class is very difficult, but Dr. Goode is by far the best teacher I have ever had in my life. I have never seen a person so devoted to seeing his students succeed in and outside of class. It truly is a humbling experience to be taught by such an intelligent man. Love this guy. I never took AP chem and got an A with hard work.

Really enjoyed Dr. Goode. He is probably one of the best professors I've taken on campus. He has students over to his house every year for a cookout. Really nice and funny guy. That being said- you will do some real Chemistry. Labs/Exams are rough, but well worth it. I had taken College Chem before (for no credit) but still learned a ton.

I took Dr. Goode both semesters my freshman year for chemistry. Years later, he's still the best professor I had in college. He learns your name and is one of those professors who actually cares about you and how you do. Yes you will have to put time into this class---welcome to college. I would definitely recommend that you take him!

Dr. Goode is an amazing person but I wouldn't recommend his class. I love science but I really struggled. He doesn't explain things very well. If you took AP Chem, you will probably do fine but the workload is tough for everyone. A lab report is due almost every week, and if you need to take org., you need to take 142 also. A big time commitment.

He's a rough teacher, I'm not going to lie. You definitely have a leg up if you've taken AP Chem. However, his T.A's rock, he gives awesome feedback and review sessions, so many grades go in so you can save yourself. I got a C first semester and a B the next, but he'll probably be writing my med school LOR. He rocks. If you can, take him.

Dr. Goode is amazing! His class is EXTREMELY difficult but if you do all the OWL hw and extra credit OWL and study you can pass. You do not need AP or really even any High School chem contrary to what people say. Tons of extra credit... Do it!! Review sessions before exams & wants us to pass. I made an A and have never taken chem before college.

Dr. Goode is a great guy and professor. He's extremely helpful, both in class and out, helping students to understand and master the concepts in class. Tests are difficult and labs are time-consuming, but he does his best to prepare students for everything they may see. He gives lots of extra credit to make up for the difficulty of the class.

If you have any opportunity to do so, you have to take Dr. Goode. Yes this class is difficult, but you learn exponentially more and are much better prepared than 112 students. If you put in the work, I can almost guarantee you'll make an A. His desire is to make everyone happy and as knowledgeable about chemistry as possible. Take Dr. Goode!!!
