Get the feeling he's one of those prof's who teaches solely because it is mandatoryy. Cold, dry, would rather be in his lab.

Videotapes lectures, so you don't have to go if you don't want to and still get the material. Is extremely helpful, just have to reach out to him. Going to discussion boosts your grade a lot. Huge curve too at the end. CourseTutor book needed for discussion, don't really need the actual textbook unless you struggle with graphs and HS econ.

He goes slow and repeats a lot of stuff... but his tests are easy if you pay attention. The online video lectures were useful too.

Holahan is a cool teacher. First of all, his class is easier than most high school classes. Second of all, he doesn't care! Anyone can get an A in this class, and if they don't, they aren't trying. Holahan is kind of a conman out for the easy life through slick talk, but thats cool with me. Anything to improve my GPA.

He was a pretty good professor, used good real life examples in class. His lectures are really different from the book though when it comes to terms, so don't read AND attend lecture. He takes attendance sometimes the next lec after a test. Going to discussion helps your grade. Tests are pretty easy with a few graphs and a lot of multiple choice.

The toughest thing about this class was waking up to get there at 9 in the morning. Holahan makes everything very clear and the exams are mostly multiple choice with a couple of graphs thrown in.

Easy A class. Show up to class and discussions and you'll have a fair understanding of the topics. Grades on a huge curve and drops one of the exams. If you need an A in econ 103, choose him.

Great professor. Listen in class and you will do well. Relates all examples to the real world and attempts to add some humor. Doesn't mind if you are late. Tests are fine if you listen. Curves test a lot and wants students to succeed.

He's really good at explaining things clearly. The tests weren't super hard. He curved them a lot too so it was easy to do well. Attending discussion gets you extra credit. Tells some corny jokes but whatever.

This professor was easy to understand. We had to take a lot of notes, but the notes were helpful and relevant to the course material. He taught straight out of the book without reading directly from it, and the lectures were actually interesting. I would recommend this professor, definitely.
