Dr. Hullfish is a very crabby musician who is way past his prime. If you played an instrument in high school, this class is an easy A. You take ten quizzes and attend three concerts. If you played enough in high school, no midterm or final for you. He's very rude and inconsiderate. DO NOT USE YOUR PHONE, he'll smash it...literally. Avoid this class

If you attend SUNY Brockport, you have to take a class with Dr. Hullfish. I'm pretty sure he's been around longer than the entire school, but he's still very sharp. You do have to pay attention and work, though, so freshman might want to stay away.

i don't know about other music classes he teaches but 105 is sooo easy. i've never taken music a day in my life outside of elementary and i have a 97 right now. the recorder is pretty basic, he lets you retake all of your quizzes even if you did decent on them. i didn't even study for the performance test and got a 94

Having this class every MWF was brutal. Hullfish often spent at least fifteen minutes trying to set up the DVD player or a video online. You'd think after all these years he'd have at least some idea how to use it. Super boring class but really easy. Attendance is mandatory he changed it so now sign-in sheets arent passed around til the end.

if you need a world music this is a really easy A but he is really boring. Random quizzes but drops the lowest three. Also there is 4 papers straight from the book and you have to attend 4 concerts and write a page paper for each ..very easy even if you know nothing about music. The midterm and final are pretty ridiculous..

I hate this class and I hate Dr.Hullfish. All this guy would do is talk about nothing then throw hard tests out of nowhere. Most of the information in this class was common knowledge to me but most of my friends that took this class struggled through it that didn't have a music background. Hopefully another teacher picks up this class.
