He's a very nice man...not very open minded. i tried debating a more conservitave veiwpoint with him, and he's convinced there is no opposite argument. Thinks everyone should get a C, bc it's an into class. Exams are a little tricky.

Extremely knowledgable in the field of OT studies and Ancient Near Eastern Relig. He's a tough grader, but extremely nice and if you're a serious student who wants to learn I highly recommend him. He teaches high biblical criticism and if you're a conservative Christian not open to challenging your faith I suggest you find a more closeminded clas

Urbrock taught an interesting interim class. Props to those who got As on all three exams. I got an A on the last one but got a B in the class. Extremely hard exams...and its true that he believes that C is what the average of the class should be. It was. Maybe even lower.

Lectures were interesting but didn't really allow for participation. He belittled the answers ppl gave to his questions. I didn't find him to look down on anyone, he just seems very stuck in his own views on things. That made class very boring at times. He tried to liven it up but failed miserably.

Very UNFAIR grader. I got all A's on all of the exams, but he dropped my final grade to a C because I missed 3 classes- even though there was nothing stated about an attendance policy in the syllabus. Belittles students' personal beliefs.
