Overall as a person, he is hilarious. Has very good stories to share, but none of them help you with the information on the test. He will pick one sentence out of the book and make a question out of it. For a gen ed, it isn't worth it.

displays was hard as hell. if you do well on the first test, youll be in his good graces and if you appear to be interested youll do fine. settlement geography was pretty easy. just pick a topic and research it the whole semester. the class never goes for 3 hours. just make sure you have some research done when he wants it

His tests are impossible. The amount of information he wants you to retain is rediculous. It was an interesting class and his stories are always relevant and funny. Don't take if you are looking to coast by, cuz it won't happen.

He is a good teacher, but his class is VERY difficult! His tests are super hard, but he usually curves them pretty high (sometimes adding 8 pts or more). I didn't personally enjoy the class at all and he didn't spur my interest in the subject. If you really like Geography or if you like crazy old men who give extremely hard tests, take this class.

I thought he was hilarious. His tests were hard, it was my first class at UWGB but it prepared me for future classes. He even had us sing along to some song he had, and asked me to play the piano for it!

Laatsch is a crazy man. He once yelled so loud at someone for talking, you could hear a pin drop for many classes afterwards. Made me feel like we were back in grade school getting yelled at. However he is a good teacher, always making everyone laugh and slapping people on the head etc..tests are hards but he makes up for that with huge curves.

Very personable, shows that he loves what he does...tells jokes, will make sure you pay attention by always keeping you involved (pointing at you 3 inches from your face, tapping you on the head, etc.) While being a great person...his tests are still very difficult.

He's very enthusiastic, but very arrogant outside the classroom. His tests are amazingly difficult, on the first test just bout 10 out of 70 people had above a D.. THATS IT! Studied for 2 days straight for his test and still failed.. way to arrogant to be teaching college freshman, hes horrible.

Very enthusiastic and very knowledgable. He's been all over the world and is a good proffesser because of it. One of the best on campus. Tests can be hard and tricky though.
