Good professor! Grades are only based off of quizzes and exams, however he gives so much extra credit you dont have to worry if you dont do too well on them. No McGraw mastering chem and you dont really need a book so you save a lot there too. Taking him again next year. Definitely suggest taking him!

It the better of the two professors that teach orgo. Either one is a lose-lose. But he makes the material easy to understand, the material is just really hard

Ive taken Loffredo for gen chem 1,2 and organic 1. He gives a lot of extra credit on quizzes which is nice. He does examples in class but most of the time they arent exactly what you will find on the tests and quizzesz over all of you study or pay attention you will most likely pass.

Loffredo is one of the best teachers I've ever taken. The classes are difficult, but it's because of the material not the teaching. He is very easy to get ahold of and more than willing to help. He gives out more than 100 extra credit points but don't expect to do well if you don't come to class. Attendance is only mandatory if you want to pass.

Orgo chem is a hard class (it just is) no professor can make it easy But if you put in the work you can get an A with Loffredo. His tests are hard but he gives out a ridiculous amount of extra credit I took him in the summer and I ended up with 114% in the class. Loffredo makes the class as easy as it can get and he's a great teacher.

If you're taking any chem class, take Loffredo. I've had him for 3 chem classes and a lab. Chem is hard but he explains really well and is a fair grader. Exams are hard but I always have a ton of bonus points.

Really breaks down Chemistry for you. He uses common scenarios in a way to relate back to course material. As a biology major, Chem was something I dreaded, he made it understandable. If further help beyond tutoring is needed he was always willing to answer questions during office hours and go through the info with you. Go to class & pay attention!

Dr. Loffredo is probably a no-go. He started out the year telling us he was supposed to teach a more advanced class and you could tell because he did not explain things well. He offers a CRAZY amount of extra credit which is nice, but it was a difficult class so you'll need it. You must be prepared to study, attend class and work hard.

Not an easy class, you definitely learn a lot but the exams are hard. Does a lot of extra credit, has quizzes that are completely extra credit. Very nice guy. No textbook necessary. If you go to class and study the notes you will be fine.

Absolutely the worst professor I have ever taken. This was a complete waste of a summer class. He doesn't go by the book, rushes through hard material, shows up late to class, and is not available or easy to reach. His tests are ridiculous, the averages are terrible. He gives bonus quizzes but even those are not enough. I would not recommend.

The only good thing about this professor was the extra credit points on quizzes. However, he grades so harshly on exams that it hardly matters. Prefer a teacher with more structure and do not understand how anyone actually enjoyed having him as a professor.

If you struggle in ochem or are anxious about taking ochem this is your guy. Great teacher. If you want an A you can get one as long as your prepared to put in the work. Oh, and don't buy the textbook, it'll probably just confuse you.

This class was no joke, but Dr. Loffredo made it enjoyable. He is super nice and was always willing to help. Tests required a ton of memorization, but he was very clear about what we needed to know. He also offered plenty of bonus quizzes. Don't take this class if you're not willing to put in A LOT of study time.

One of the best professors at ESU, which is one of the reasons why I'm on track for an A in the class. Organic is not easy, but he makes it seem like it. Does a great job with lecture and he gives out bonus points like they're nothing. Trust me, you will need them. He's also a funny guy, so it makes lecture that much more interesting. Take him!!

Love Loffredo. He's awesome. I had him for O.Chem 1 and 2, as well as the labs, and I got As in all. He's very intelligent and extremely clear and helpful. He gives quizzes on many of the topics covered, all of which are bonus points. Definitely take him if possible.

Really great professor. I had him for Chem. Molecules and Life and he is very clear when it comes to teaching the material. He also gives a LOT of extra credit. Also if you get an overall grade of 96 you're exempted from the final!

You'd be hard-pressed to find an easier gen. chem. I lab teacher. They are super easy, but he's still a great teacher. He explains everything very clearly, and the class is an easy A. You also hardly write formal labs, which is awesome. Dr. Loffredo is the guy you want for lab!
