The class was bearable but his assignments are heavy for a GE course. I learned a lot in this class but I wish he taught differently.

OK teacher. Your grade consists of 2 class essays(midterm/final), 2 take home essays, & attendance(passes out attendance sheet on random days). The 2 in class essays are based on 2 questions which he tells you days before you do the essay. 1 of the take home essays is a biography, 2nd is your choice of topic. Each take home essays is 10 pgs long.

Dr. Meyers was an awesome professor! History is NOT my best subject, but Meyers made it doable! Lectures not online and textbook not needed. One timed essay for midterm and final was turning in a 10 page paper. DON'T SLACK ON IT BC IT'S A LOT OF RESEARCH IN APA STYLE! I went to his office hours often so it was easy to be in contact with him.

The lectures are very long and boring at times. He sits in the front of the class and talks for an hour long while you write down what he says. He is very passionate about history and knows his stuff. He assigns writing assignment that are very long but honestly I don't think he even grades them. Very easy class and attendance isn't mandatory.

Meyers is pretty easy going, but he HATES when people walk out during his lectures so I advise you not to do so! I hated history but his lectures were very intriguing. No quizzes, but he assigns long papers. Outlines and study guides were given so finals and papers were pretty easy. As long as you go to class, take notes, you will pass.

Go watch the history class scene from the 1986 movie "Back to School" because that will give you an idea of what Dr. Myers is (sometimes) like. Personally I thought he was awesome because of it. And he is a strong lecturer too. Even if Hist is not your jam, take Dr. Myers just for the experience (it builds character). Only the weak cannot handle it

Dr. Williams knows his stuff and is very passionate about history. He assigns quite a bit of writing, but is an extremely easy grader. There is one 10 pg paper and a few others but he gives step by step outlines. Exams are essay questions but he gives out the prompt beforehand. Would definitely recommend.

His lectures are awfully long and boring. DO NOT buy any of the books he requires because we never had to bring them to class and were never tested. Both the midterm and final were in class essays. Had to write a few papers including a paper on your own life, communist manifesto, and a research paper with a topic of your choice. Easy grader.

With his lectures, you really don't need to get one of his required books. Only the book on how to write essays. Other than that his class is very easy with just writing essays and easy lectures. Mandatory is a MUST for points and he's just an okay Professor.

Dr. Meyers is a really cool professor. He does get a tad but boring at times, but he honestly loves history and it's very refreshing. The only thing that peeved me about this class was when you do the 10 page paper, he makes you print/copy the pages of books/internet sources you used. Quite a bit of wasted paper. But he gives exam prompts before.

Basic lecture-hall class. Note taking is a must. Book is helpful, but opened it a couple times. 3 essays, two short and easy, one 10-page research paper (I wrote 6 pages at a basic level and got a B). 2 essay exams, topics chosen on lowest attendance of class. He devotes his time for you--visit his office hours (I didn't). No less than a B.

Thoroughly enjoyed this class because of Professor Meyers. He's got a refreshing enthusiasm & passion for History so he makes it interesting to learn. He wore his tie according to the lesson which was cool. Exams were easy A. Term paper's topic is broad & up to you to choose. Great teacher, glad to have had him at least once in my college years.

If you attend class and take notes this will be an easy class to pass, two term papers are assigned but you have the option to chose something that interest you. He is so helpful and passionate! If your writing is good you will do great in this class and if it isn't he WILL help you. Take this class, I loved it.

Pretty good professor. He does try to make you interested in the subject and gets very frustrated if its obvious you just showed up to class to not listen. I promise you if you take your essay in the week before (not the week of,he doesnt like that)its due and let him check it, fix the corrections and turn it in, easy A on all papers. Dont buy book

Easy class. You only need the Jewsbury reader, don't buy the other books-- I never even opened them. There are 2 papers- one of them being a 10 page paper, but its really easy. I did it a couple nights before it was due and got an A. The final and midterm are in class essays, but he gives you the prompt beforehand. This class is impossible to fail.

Great professor! Extremely knowledgeable and actually makes history really interesting There are a few homework assignments that require reading, a ten page paper that you get to choose your own topic, and the midterm and finals are essay questions which he gives you ahead of time. Don't miss the lectures cuz the midterm is on them.Take him!

Meyers is an excellent professor. He really knows his information, and makes the subject matter interesting, even to those people who may hate history. He is able to draw parallels in history to modern times, making it past events comparable to today's, which allows students to relate better to what he is teaching. Recommend taking his class.
