Like everyone else said, his lectures are boring, but extremely helpful. You can get by in 281 without doing all the reading if you pay attention and taking good notes during class. He is a fairly easy grader and, despite the somewhat monotonous lectures, is a pretty cool guy and will crack a joke at least once a class.

Yes, his lectures very well may put you to sleep, but if you didn't read you'll learn everything you missed. If you did read, then you'll enhance your understanding a lot by staying awake in class. Also, he's an easy grader as far as papers go. Definitely take a class with him if you have the chance.

An easy class, but it's hard to take. It's SO boring and he's about as lifeless as they get. The Microessays and Scrapbooks help, but I left the class with less of an understanding than I had when I started. If you can stand the lectures, it's a piece of cake.

This was a very easy class. Microessays and scrapbook are easy grade booster, because the tests are kind of hard. Don't really need to read- his lectures are sooo BORING, but he goes through absolutely everything- says um alot, that gets old... so does the water bottle... good gen ed class.

I thought the class subject was well defined and I knew what I was doing day by day. Microessays are so easy it's unbelieveable. He'll give you a study guide for tests which makes them pretty easy. Lectures are dull but who cares it's so easy.
