I'll start by saying I got an A in his class. However, I am not really convinced and felt that I legitimately learned. If you want an easy A, go for it. If this class is definitely crucial to your future career or are genuinely interested in learning the material, you might want to seek elsewhere. Lectures are boring, monotonous, and mundane. EasyA

If you want an easy A take him. All you have to do is memorize his test bank that he gives out before each lecture test. If you want to learn something, take someone else. Don't buy the book he doesn't use it. He uses his outline from 30 years ago. boring, not helpful, hypersensitive and thin skinned. Don't make noise!

relies too much on pre-prepared lecture notes which don't make much since and lecture is not really helpful. DON'T buy textbook. you will not learn ANYTHING in lecture it's memorization. lab you will and it's hard do not miss those sessions. only the lecture is pointless. oh and he does not repeat things. but he's easy.

Olexik class turned out to be not as bad as I thought it was goin to be he doesnt use the book at all so save yourself $200 and dont buy the book. If you study and just memorize his lecture notes you'll be fine

Olexik is a good guy, but he relies too much on his pre-prepared outline from 1980 and not enough on clarity. Do not waste your $ on a textbook. Memorize his outline and you'll do fine on lecture tests. He lets you drop one. He has a really great website that is helpful regardless of if you take him. montgomerycollege.edu/~wolexik.

BORING. NEVER uses the $300 textbook. Never gives homework, but relies solely on home study. No online work. Lab has no structure whatsoever. Doesn't use PowerPoint. You print out the notes at home, and he just reads from them. Grade depends on home study rather than quality of instruction. Not engaging. Never reviews material before exams.

Calling him a grouch puts it kindly. He does not use a textbook; relies on own threadbare outlines and horrible ancient scribbled transparencies. He wrote the lab manual (no illustrations, diagrams)and disappears during much of lab (unless discussing histology.) If you are an allied health or premed, take 204 and 205 in Takoma or Germantown.

Olexik can be a nice old man, and then he can be a total GROUCH. Watch what you say/ask, if you say something not to his liking he will SNAP AT YOU. He is good at lecture- Memorize the practice questions- most of the test will be these!!! Doesnt come to lab until 30 minutes after it starts....
