Prof Phillips was the last of the free market economists at USM in 2008. Too bad. There needs to be balance between free market and centrist. He is/was a great professor. Makes you think. I miss him.

This professor is one wild guy. He will badger you, and you can badger him right back. He has a bit of a military style, with a ounce of grouchy mixed in. He is love or hate kinda guy. Strongly conservative, to a point some students may find offensive. HOWEVER, he is more then willing to help students outside of class!

He's absolutely terrible! He uses his own book to teach the class and uses the same examples in class...that is...when he chooses to actually teach. He's not clear, not precise, and is one of the most arrogant, pompass professors I've ever had.

His own written book was terrible not to mention the in class examples were the same as the book. Heard he doesn't use his own any more tho. I thought his 50% mid term and 50% final was a poor grading system. He definitely chooses favorites and your grade at the end of the semester. Nice guy tho.

He's one of the nicest professors Ive had. He's very funny and friendly. This class is easy but you NEED TO DO THE READING OR ELSE IT'S HARD! He's very accomodating if your not doing well in the class though. Overall, he's a great guy!

How does FSU football tie into macro- & microeconomics? Hell if I know. That's the only thing I took from his classes (two semesters of my life I'll never get back). Nice guy, but I didn't learn anything from his lectures...except FSU football.
