Very subjective course, to the point that it should not be considered an engineering course. Exams are straight forward but are wordy and he gives credit on whether or not you answered the question in his words and not on whether or not you understood the concept and answered correctly.

Pretty easy if you show up to class and pay attention. Only a few exams which he gives you a study guide for. As long as you turn in the few homework assignments and come to class you will get a good grade and learn quite a bit.

Had Sproule for transportation. He was hilarious and made jokes throughout his lecture. Overall he made the class quite easy, gives a review sheet that has the exam questions on it. His personality made the class a little bit less boring to sit through. Take him if you can for anything!

The best professor at Tech, took transportation with him Fal 2011, his humor, teaching method made me want to come to class every day. Very interesting projects. I was so impressed that I am taking consulting engineering in the spring and plan on taking airport design next fall as well. Take all his classes, but be quick as they fill out fast.

Great Teacher! Had him for Hockey History and Culture and it was a blast. If it wasn't for Dr. Sproule the class would've been a bust, but he has a passion for the class. You need help, just ask and you shall receive. Interesting project and paper topics, but a great class with a spectacular professor!

Great professor and really nice guy in general. He really cares about his students and will go out of his way to help you out if you need. Exams are pretty easy and his finals are usually take home. Classes are pretty much a gaurenteed A, but you always do a lot of hands-on projects that will really make you learn a lot.

Great class! Great teacher! Highly recommend any of his classes. I had him for the hockey history and culture class. I seriously think that this class could have been boring without Bill. He is very passionate about what he teachers and you can see this clearly in his lectures!

Dr. Sproule is by far the best professor that I've ever had. He is incredibly interesting and does such a phenomenal job at teaching. The class seems so easy, but you learn so much and he makes it so fun that you don't even realize how much you are accomplishing. Taking one of his classes will brighten your experience at MTU.

Comment:

Funny, easy, friendly, the best teacher at this place! Take any/all classes with him. You will learn a lot, have the best time you ever had in any class and if you visit him in his office hours you will find the coolest old man you have ever met. I am very interested in traffic and he just helps my addiction! :) Cant stress how cool he is enough!
