This guy is funny. If you notice, he says 'right', 'okay' and 'um' lot. The tests are so easy, but the papers aren't. He is almost blind, so even if you're right in front of him he still won't see you. But he's a cool guy.

it's a good thing to go to class because you may have pop quizzes. Also, you have two essay's, two exams and final exam which is optional. Class maybe boring or you don't understand in the beginning, but you can get help from your TA and professor.

he needs to retire already. i think he knows and understands philosophy for himself but he is horrible at trying to get the class to understand it. he makes a lot of mistakes during lecture and needs to go back and correct himself..which makes it confusing sometimes. oh yeah, and watch out for 10 million pop quizzes

His lectures are boring but you have to go... if you do you'll do fine. He give a lot of random pop quizzes especially for extra credit. Tests are reasonably easy, but he grades papers pretty harsh.

This class is the worst. He doesn't know how to answer questions directly and I believe he is starting to go senial. Get another teacher if you have to take this class. It was very hard and not worth the effort.

He's a nice guy, but doesn't explain things very well, and is kind of hard to follow. Sometimes it's difficult to get an answer to a question because he's not very direct and uses a lot of junk words. He also has an annoying habit of teaching to only one side of the classroom. He's willing to help, but sometimes his examples are more confusing.

He's a cool guy and a good teafcher. Your grade really depends on the TA. He grades papers too strictly, it's more about how well you can write and not how well you grasp the concepts.

Dr. Tolhurst is an excellent professor. He is nice, interacts with the students, and loves to hear their opinions on the subject. Teaching is a mutual effort between him and his students. Also, his favorite word "folk" rubbed off on me.
