Comment:

This class required a lot of time before the exam. It's wise to record the lectures or to get them from someone else because that's basically what you'll be listening to in order to study for the exams. Personally, I liked the way he taught. It was interesting with a dull spot here and there but overall pretty interesting. Just study A LOT.

Dr. Wasserman is an intelligent and nice professor. The class consists of 3 exams (including a final) that are fill in the blank and short answer. Look at the major topics covered in each lecture section to know what will be on the exam. Depending on how good your note-taking skills/memory are, you don't need a recorder.

He is not the best professor here at Loyola. You literally have to be able to read his mind to do well in the course. His tests are hard and you need to study weeks for them. Even when you study, you will still fail. You need to memorize every little detail he says to do well on the exams. Don't take him, take someone else.

I have never written anything on this site, but i HAD to write for Dr. Wasserman.. he hands down the best professor at Loyola, if you go to class and put in some effort you are bound to get an A..he makes Cell Bio VERY interesting, and there is no way you wont learn if you pay attention. TAKE HIM!!

Dr. Wasserman is by a wide margin the best professor I have ever had. The class is intense, but set up in a way that you get out exactly what you put in. If you take excellent notes and put in the hours in the library, you will get an A. If not, you will likely fail the course.

Only three exams. Take notes with a laptop or get a recorder because you will not use the book whatsoever so dont even buy it. His exams come from his lectures and his online website. Study those inside out and you will have a fighting chance. Good chance to pull off an A- if you show up to every class and take good notes and study like crazy.

He explains everything crystal clearly. He does not go too fast or anything. His tests are a bit difficult but if you actually want to LEARN the material, take Wasserman. One of my favorite professors here.

This is a very hard professor. I bought a recorder, & learned every single word that came out of his mouth. Unfortunately it was useless b/c the tests had questions that were not from his lecture. He said its only from lecture, NOT TRUE. If you want to memorize word for word his lectures & book then take him, otherwise STAY AWAY!

I love this class because I want to be a cell biologist. I'm taking 7 200-level classes total this semester and I've been able to get almost perfect scores on both tests so far and keep As in other classes. Did I mention I work full time? There's no excuse other than laziness on other people's parts. Record the lecture, come to class, and study!

this teacher explains alright but goes way too fast and his voice is a bit unclear.u must buy a recorder if u want an a or b.there r 3 tests each 100 pts. and nothing more to class,but be prepared for all short answer test and to draw diagrams for each ques, & write all the detail he gave in lecture.personally, i never felt comfortable to stop him.

Very interesting class. You must attend all classes and take notes on what he SAYS because because alot of what he tests on is from his material outside of the online notes. The class isnt easy, but is very interesting. You must study for the tests, however, the book is useless bc he doesnt use that material for tests.

Comment:

He is good teacher, and by that I mean you actually learn and gain knowledge from his class. All his tests are from his lectures and lectures only. The essay questions from the tests are generally easy just because he takes them off of the practice exams, but be sure you know your vocabulary, because the matching is a major pain in the ass.
