Basically what everyone else has said. Slides from book etc. Seems like he had an interesting career and if he went deeper into his experiences the class would be more fun. Hopefully he reads these, he has potential to be a great instructor. Grades well and gives feedback on homework. Teach yourself and you'll be fine.

Horrible teacher. Not only can I spell and speak better, but I have an idea of social interaction. This man has no clue how to interact with student helpfully, is a hard ass, and is not even truly interested in what he is teaching. Dont recommend this class with Wheeler.

Poor math skills. Uses slides from the book to teach. Finishing the slide show is his main goal. Attending class is pointless if you have the textbook. Does not have mastery of course material. Needs pre-written solutions to solve problems in class. Explanations are unclear, and unorganized. Not meant to be a teacher. Expect to teach yourself.

Great person, but not great at teaching. I'm sure he's proficient as an engineer. Lectured straight out of book & overhead. Not very understanding if someone in your group disappears with materials or not. Would have been easier to pick our own groups that worked with our own schedules. Would have been fine at a university, not here.

He seemed to have a good grasp of the material but was very bland and boring. Students were anxious to learn, but he didn't care to guide them. Instead, he chose to work towards preventing the intellectual growth of his pupils. Not helpful at all.

His lectures were a little bland and he just copied things from his notes to the board without even knowing what he was copying. A group member of mine plagarized our project and he had zero sympathy and failed to help us resolve the problem and only gave us a day to redo it, no help at all.

also had him for eng 111 a year b4 261. teaching style has improved a little. lectures aren't very interesting, altho he tries. doesn't seem to know his stuff, and doesn't care to help students with the material. tests are open book and pretty easy.
