Professor Wheeler is one of the most caring and nicest professors I have had. With that being said, this class is organized in the most ridiculous way imaginable. Videos due everyday before class that are lengthy and overly pedantic. I took M118 and had to drop, this material is slightly easier but way more tedious work and must be done his way.

Honestly, this class is like a part-time job. He is soo nice though. You have to watch online lectures before class. They are an average an hour long. Class time is used for practice problems. One thing I highly disliked was that he is so strict with your math work, he wants it written in a specific way or he will mark off points on the exam

Worst class experience I've ever had, honestly. It doesn't matter if you understand the content, your work has to 100% match his or you fail, but he never gives clear criteria. Makes you to watch hour+ videos before every lecture, then just rehashes the same information. Answers questions poorly, if at all, and wastes time with repetitive tangents.

He is a horrible teacher. He lectures the entire class with his back to the students so he rarely answers questions. Do it his way or you're wrong. You won't understand how far he takes that notion unless you've been unfortunate enough to have him as a professor.

This man does not have what it takes, in any sense, to teach another human being. He knows his way any nothing more, your perspective is incorrect. A very nice old man that knows his stuff but is incapable of effectively communicating. He does though provide a large amount of resources that make it possible to pass with some work, so there's that

Wheeler is a delightful older guy who seems to care about his students. As a professor, though, he assigns a lot of homework and uses a teaching method that requires you to watch hour-long videos the night before and then review the material in class, and then do homework on it. You'll get an A and understand, but it's a lot of time and work.

Prof. Wheeler is a really cool dude who is knowledgeable and passionate about this course. However, if youre not a fan of meticulously copying someone elses work and nightly hour plus long videos this is not the class for you. If I saw him in the street I would most definitely stop and ask how he is, but I wouldnt take another one of his courses

I was really nervous to take math my senior year. Professor Wheeler is a caring guy who always asks how we are doing after class. The class is hard, but as long as you do the homework and watch the lectures and actually show up, you'll do well. I was always bad at math, but with keeping on top of the work, I got a 95% on the midterm.

Professor Wheeler only grades on how close your work is to his. Understand the concept? Well that's great but if your work isn't the same as his he will take off. If you like classes where you have to mindlessly copy down someone else's work to the minuscule degree then this is for you. Otherwise, I would highly recommend NOT taking this class.

Cares more about work than the answers, but he wants you to do the math work ONLY his way. Exams graded based on how specifically you fit his criteria for showing work, and points get deducted for using short hand to go through work faster. If you care about doing math efficiently, don't sign up for this professor.

He's a genuinely nice guy who wants his students to do well. He has online help sessions three times a week that's just him telling you how to do the homework. The homework was pretty much exactly the same as the classwork. It's really formulaic, you just need to plug in the numbers. That being said, those videos were WAY too long.

Professor Wheeler was so kind and extremely willing to help every student! He had help sessions three times a week, and he will work with you so you can succeed in this class. The material was very confusing, but he was great about being there to help!

This class has a crazy amount of homework and classwork. Unlike most classes where getting the answer or demonstrating an understanding matters its all about drawing out models that are identical to his. If you have no pride or are stupid this might be a good fit but if your human its demoralizing and insanely boring. He also writes illegibly.

Worst prof I've ever had. Very unclear and not willing to help. Worst part is, he makes you watch the lecture (usually a 70 min video) before class, then doesn't teach in class. Avoid him at all costs. About 3 hours of homework & mandatory videos, 3 times per week. I'm an A student & I chose to drop his class because his teaching style is horrible

Prof. Wheeler is a really genuinely nice guy and definitely cares about his work and wants students to do well. Also has a rather acute memory. I sat in on his class almost two years later, and he remembered me and where I sat, although I hadn't gone to his office hours or talked with him outside of class.

You can't read his hand writing. The last two weeks he barely taught anything in class and what he did teach had nothing to do with the homework. He takes off for the tiniest details. I got the right answer on a quiz but received a failing grade because I didn't do it his way. He is a nice guy, don't get me wrong. But, I would not take this class.

An unrealistic amount of time consuming work is assigned to students every single night, as if this is the only class students are taking. Students are discouraged from asking questions and his style of teaching is unique in the worst way possible. Avoid having him as a professor at all costs.
