DB is the greatest professor I have had during my college experience. She is caring, intelligent, passionate, and inspirational. As long as you're professional and respectful, it will be great. There is a lot of work, but it's manageable, and her encouragement will keep you going every step of the way. I would recommend her to everyone!

Dr. Boyd is the most amazing professor I have had yet at Eastern. She is strict with rules, but those expectations are set right in the beginning and easy to get used to. She is very polite, fun, but will also be real with you - no sugar coating. If you want to be inspired as a teacher take her. I did not find the work load to be too much.

D.B. is an excellent instructor. It seems like her instructions are unclear or vague, but that is so you have to think on your own. She allows you to turn in assignments early for feedback and make changes for a higher grade.

As another mentioned...the woman does nothing but tell stories about her own teaching career. She vilifies ANYONE who doesn't desire to teach in the inner city. Teaches you absolutely none of the nuts and bolts of writing lesson plans. She has true believers in her methods, but they're misguided. This woman is worthless as a professor.

Very polarizing and inconsistent. Excellent at times, but awful at times too. Has a nasty temper and can be downright nasty and unprofessional to anyone that gets on her bad side. Directions on assignments are more focused on her being pompous than clear as to what to do. My advice, don't take her.

Dr. Boyd models the things she teaches through her own teaching. She goes to extraordinary lengths to see her students succeed. She is accessible, courteous, and encouraging. She encourages her students to be creative in their work and to use it in their practice. Take her classes. Character is forged through adversity, not ease.

This woman is the worst kind of professors. First of all, she has completely unrealistic expectations, like including at least two multicultural aspects to EVERY lesson plan. Second, she's extraordinarily condescending and spends most classes telling students how great a teacher she was. I've found much success by ignoring what she taught.

Only professor to every make me cry. Very condescending, and believes that her views on education are the only correct ones. I've been teaching for 4 years now and have received excellent evaluations doing the opposite of everything she preached in class
