I must be in the minority, because i thought he was good. Interesting, sometimes funny, sometimes corny. Homework is easy / quick, tests / quizes are decent as long as you pay attention in class. Pop quizzes (with unexpected weight on your grate) are frequent, so attendance is important. Pay attention and deal with bad jokes and you'll do fine.

AVOID! He is the worst professor I've had. He's very biased and never has a clear answer to anything. He shows up to class late, TRIES to be a comedian, and makes tests impossible. Also, claims he has tenure and can do (teach) whatever he wants. (Probably because his wife is the dean of student affairs.) Avoid, or your GPA will suffer.

Very interesting lectures. However, grading and tests are simply impossible, so A's are non existant in the class. There is no curve as well. He claims that because he is "tenured" and near the end of teaching he can "do whatever he wants" as he stated in the first day of class. Don't take him at all costs, your grade will suffer.

Interesting professor. Has a face that says he could be David Alan Grier's father, with a wardrobe that makes Mr. Rogers look like a Hell's Angel. Absolutely refuses to compensate for anyone's mistakes, though he often makes mistakes in his lecture and grading. Avoid.

He is very interesting in class. He is enthusiastic and teaches his subject well, but his exams are unrealistically difficult. The exams are so hard that it undermines students' sense of well being in his classes. It feels like there's no way to win.

This class was supposed to be based on sociology, but don't be fooled. He doesn't teach anything that's going to be on the test, and he jumps all over the place when he's lecturing, which makes him really hard to follow. He also giggles a lot about topics like sex and marriage, which makes him even harder to understand. AVOID HIS CLASSES!

Very opinionated, and if you don't agree with him you may end up with a lower grade. Says whatever he thinks, even offensive comments and adds "but I'm tenured, so I can say that" afterwords.

Terrible prof! He thinks just because he has tenure, he doesn't have to teach. He has no problems failing a whole class, even if it was Perspectives! Also, if you disagree with him once, he'll never forget it and will hold it against you. Terrible Professor, I will never take a class taught by him again. MTU should fire him and get it over with!

If Bill Cosby would of never started acting, and decided to teach college, you would have Willie Melton. The man even wears the Cosby sweaters.

TERRIBLE Prof. NEVER ON TIME!!! What a waste of your tuition money paying for him to be late. Grading of quizes and tests are very subjective and unfair. I do all the assigned readings and HW and still cannot manage more than a 2 on his quizes.

Very hard tests and pop quizes. I do the readings and have gotten at most 2 out of 4. There is no room to BS and he has no problem giving zeros. Lectures are ok, but the class is way harder than it is supposed to be.

There is no reason that a curve must be used in a gen ed. IT is gen ed, he should be happy that the university requires it and he has a job, because there is no real purpose for this class.
