you will fall asleep during the lectures. i guarantee you i was not the only one who found e powerpoints boring as heck. she tests you on a bunch of dates and not the important concepts. very hard to keep them all straight. no study guide or hints at what random facts are going to be on tests. very irritating since you dont know what to focus on

She takes her class way too seriously. She uses a lot of dates on the tests but the dates on the power-point she shows, the power-point on blackboard, and the dates in the book are all different. She just babbles on in class and I feel like I don't learn anything. I study and still basically fail the tests. The quizzes keep me from failing.

Very nice. tests are hard. study go to class the points are worth it. class can be boring so try to read before you come so you come with questions. very easy grader if you talk with her she will help you. She is very intelligent. would def take again

The class is boring. You can print out the lectures and take notes on every little thing. Her tests were difficult and it is important to know your years. You will know what I mean. Good thing is that she is nice and helpful if you ask and she offers a good amount of extra credit as long as you are there to turn it in. Attendance isn't required

This is the worst teacher ever!!! do not take this class. Im a straight A student getting a D. She is really inconsiderate. The book doesn't help. Her study guides are useless and shes a bad speaker.

Not great on clairity during leactures BUT she is always very helpful in office hours. She has a very loose teaching style that takes some getting used to but it should be easy to get an A if you come to class, do the readings, and talk to her about your paper.

tests were WAY too hard... made it like a 300 level course... studied for 5 1/2 hours yesterday and the day before using all her powerpoints and the book and couldn't get higher than a D on the test

Extremely boring. Horrible grading system. Three 5 page papers only worth 33 points each. Final is 50% of your grade and it is very difficult. Spends more time worrying about cheating than she does making sure the class understands the material. Don't even try to cheat in her class.. You WILL get caught!

waste of time and money. Creamer is nice but I dislike the grading system. Beware only 1 test and it's the final worth about 50% of grade. The papers are doable but need research and aren't worth very much. A few points off and you have a B or C in class. Not enough points or assignment to be effective in learning anthropology

Obviously those of you who have left feedback complaining about the work load have NOT taken a 400 level class with Winifred. A fair grader and her expectations are fair as well. Can be a bit boring but explains the material well and always available for help and a very interesting person if you take the time to get to know. Good class!
