Dr. Chen clearly knows mathematics, but her English is at times hard to understand because of her accent. During my class time, if we still didn't understand the material fully she would say that she didn't have time to go over it again, which I think is wrong because what's the point of moving on if your students don't understand the current topic

Extremely easy to pass as long as you show up, take notes and do her computer work. The tests are exactly the same as the computer lab work and she gives you extra points for completing it. Take her as a summer course if possible. She wants you to pass. These other comments are bogus. This is college and grades wont be handed to you. Ever.

Knows her math, and will teach you tricks to remember so you don't have to use a calculator. Will say the word "Okaaaayyyy" at the end of each sentence. (hilarious) She has the personality of flypaper, so don't bother asking questions because she will just not relate to it, and will answer with a salty attitude.

Took her for a 6 week summer course. She does not respond well to being asked questions in class, but her hand-outs are very helpful. The extra-credit assignments should make this class easy to anyone who studies.

Honestly, Chen is hard to understand but you'll get by in her class if you pay attention to what she's writing on the board. She doesn't help you much because she expects you to know the material already. The grades you receive are from quizzes she usually gives weekly, which are extremely easy to pass, if you do the online work and study it.

She's a tough teacher. She sticks to her rules. 20 minutes to take each quiz. She does try to set the class up to help you pass. Her accent is a little tough at first but by the end of the semester you will understand her. Don't take her if you don't test well

Chen knows her math, but she is a horrible professor. She wants to help but all she ends up doing is telling people that they don't know their basics and pretty much salts them in front of everyone. She isn't clear when explaining things at all, and for people that do not know math she may seem to go too quickly. I wouldn't recommend her.

She is VERY strict and punctual. allows few minutes to take quizzes, and will NOT allow you to work on it for an extra second. However, she knows how to teach. She is hard, but explains well. She has a strong accent, but it's one that you can understand. Very tough but you will learn. Helps if you need it. Do all hw as practice if you want to pass.

Mrs Chen is very blunt to a point where if you do any little wrong thing she'll be all over you. She sets up the class perfectly by giving you a Practice quiz and outline and uses every second of class time explaining how to do all kinds of equations and problems. Its very tough to comprehend her accent but during the year ull get wut shes saying

she is hard to deal with if you ask a lot of questions but she bases her tests off of a computer software that you can honestly just memorize the type of equations. she also is willing to stay after class if you need any extra help. EASY A!

I've had awful math teachers, but Chen is by far the worst. While one get's used to her accent, it's her teaching style that is atrocious. The class can barely keep up with her collectively due to her unwillingness to help. CLEAH TO YOU!? Then off to the next subject. Have a question? Too bad she'll just say you're holding up class. Stay away.

DROP THIS CLASS IMMEDIATELY!!! If you don't get it, she ask's "ANY QUESTION?" gives you approximately one milisecond to raise your hand then goes, "OK WE CLEAR". If someone goes up to the board and gets it wrong, she tells them, "I DO NOT SEE WHY, IT IS COMMON SENSE, VERY SIMPLE, WHY YOU WRONG?". Get out of this class before you waste your semester

she is a great teacher I was not very good at algebra until I took her class if you get over the fact that she has and accent and pay attention to how she is showing you to solve the equation you will be fine,watch how she solves the equation and go home and practice you will do well in this class most people don't put fourth any effort

Get out now! Even if there is no one else to this math class with then take it a different semester. I received an A on every quiz and only managed to get a B in her class. She is incomprehensible. She is not understanding about anything. And if you do not understand a concept then she will probably tell you its because you lack the intelligence.

Takes too long to finish lecture, wastes time ranting. Took 30 min. ranting about why she won't answer our questions when it was only a yes or no answer. Complains about how we don't put up homework questions when every class she is barely able to finish lecture on time. If we ask anything at all, don't bother expecting an lecture that day.
