Comment:
Impossible to understand, so unhelpful, jumps around in the book so much it's impossible to find what you're doing in class (but the book is impossible to understand too though, so). On the upside, he has the most monotonous voice in the world, so his class is great for napping.

Comment:
Linear Algebra is not that hard when the class is taught in a clear structured manner. However, Hazony's teaching methods are neither clear nor structured. Everyone would get a B+ or better if he actually phrased homework and exam questions in a clear manner. He's the first professor I've had at BU that I would actually consider to be bad.

If you actually care to learn linear algebra then seriously do not take his class because all you'll learn is that linear algebra can cut circles in metal. The hardest part of the homeworks and tests is trying to figure out what the question is asking for.

tests are hard, nothing is clear, book is terrible, discussions are alright but material is just not clear at all followed by random test questions and long homework

the professor is nice...but not in teaching...monotone...hard to understand him. yet, you don't really need to go to class. Just do the homework and the exams are almost the same.

Turns linear algebra into a joke class, which is unfortunate since it is actually fairly important. Also, completely insane. Out of his freaking mind. I went to maybe 6 classes in the semester and still got an A. Just do the homework, it'll be your exam with different numbers.

Ok guys, he's not THAT bad. It's required to take the class...and the class sucks no matter who you have, but if you get Hazony, you'll maintain a good GPA. anyone else and kiss that A away. Seriously, he makes it easy to get a good grade. do the homeworks-you'll pass. Extra credit is offered

He can't teach, which is unfortunate because if you go to office hours he'll tell great stories about hip replacements. Um...yeah, the homework is a great guide for what the exams will be like but good luck finding someone to explain the material in the confusing text. Even the TFs don't know it..

Lecture is pointless and the book does nothing. Exams are identical to homeworks just with different numbers. I'm surprised such a good engineering program would want to call this class their own.

Gauss Jordan, Gramm Schmidt, Eigen vectors. 3 topics in 3 months? He spends more time talking about percentage of class attendance than linear algebra. I think? I haven't gone to class in 3 months so I wouldn't know.

Linear Algebra was easy, but he wasn't helpful at all. Just do the homeworks and you'll get an A in the class.

His explinations are not helpful at all. Do the homework! His exams are almost exactly the homework problems. Do yourself a favor, skip lecture and do the homework instead.

I had to learn the material on my own. On every test or quiz there was at least one question where I had no idea what it was asking. I managed to b.s. my way through the class and end up with an A-. When in doubt use Gauss' law
