Comment:
He does not respect his students at all, no matter how hard you try in his class he will judge your performance based on how much he likes you. Despite being very sloppy himself, he has unreasonable standards for those around him. He also does not know how to properly teach a class, and instead always brags about his so-called "accomplishments".

This professor does not even respect the students. He always bring his own prejudice in the grading and his attitude. He has no idea how to teach. His class has little useful information. I will never take his class again. I have met some great professors in the school. He is not one of them. He alway jusge the student by their performace.

Is great at getting students interested in what he teaches, which is no easy task. Very approachable and skillful and creating stimulating and productive conversation in class. Very nice, treats students with respect and as adults. I recommend him, I took two classes with him and I thought they were very well taught, looked forward to them.

Genuinely cares for his students. Always encourages discussion and participation. Homework is always reading, and the pace can be ridiculous, however. That being said, I did well in the course without doing most of the readings at all. You can write the essays barely having read the books, too. Judging from that, the course load is reasonable.

Great guy, good professor. His classes can be a drag sometimes, and his assigned reading errs on the side of excessive, but if you really put in the effort it goes a long way. He seems to genuinely enjoy discussing the material with students and encourages everybody to speak up.

Very thoughtful and laid back. As long as you tell him what he wants to hear he'll give you a good grade. Challenge yourself if you wish but it's not necessary.

if i had had him early on studying language, I probably would have quit. He acts like he is too good to teach language classes.

Nice guy. I really mean that. I like him a lot. Sad to say, he has no idea how to teach, which, for someone with two PhD's, is kind of pathetic. Zhongguo xipi (Chinese hippy).

GREAT guy. OK professor. Super smart, but should be restricted to teaching literature classes, and not upper level language classes. As a professor, semi-lazy and very much a push-over.

He is very relaxed and easy going, but doesn't have any structure for his class. It is very easy to fall behind in his class because he doesn't have many deadlines just the midterm and final.

HORRIBLE TEACHER. If you're thinking of taking a course in English with him, DON'T. His english is horrible & he makes up everything he says. His assignments are vague & poorly written, and when you ask for help or for him to clarify it, he refuses.

Prof Huang, the Chinese hippy, is a remarkably knowledgeable and experienced teacher of Chinese literature. His only handicap is a somewhat limited knowledge of English.
