Excellent expertise & organization. I am a foreign student and I liked Dr Gackowski international background ( He has lectured on 3 continents: at the University of Melbourne, Australia in the past decade, also in Europe and longest in the US ) He travels internationally every year to exchange professional knowledge in many countries.

Dr. Gackowski is very serious about teaching these subjects - practice and theory. He sets very high standard and expects student to work hard. He is there for every student that really wants to learn - long hours in the lab or office. System Analysis and Design is a sophisticated and demanding discipline.

I had to redo assignments numerous times -- very frustrating. Art and science of SA&D is more complex than learning to code a progam or various software technician skills - entirely different approach and expectations. Some had to re-take class!

Very difficult classes, would like to take these courses at a private school, with different allocation of academic resources and more scholarly learning atmosphere, I read first chapter of his latest publication and I am still learning from this very bright and elegant scholar, very generous with his knowledge and time.

HORRIBLE Professor! I never missed a single day, I turned all assignments in, studied, etc. and he failed me! I have never failed a class in my life until now. He is extremely unclear and unhelpful. Avoid at all costs.

I received an A. Gackowski is smart but is not professor material. He is unable to communicate the material and dedicates far too much of our valuable time to insulting the United States and our primary education systems. During the lab period ask him to review your work repeatedly and don't be afraid of him. You can succeed if you try HARD.

HORRIBLE!!! Thick accent makes it difficult to understand. He will laugh in your face if you answer a question wrong or say something he doesn't agree with. Most miserable college class, I had to drop it. Every class he tells you to ask for a refund from the school (basically calling everyone stupid). Do not, do not take this professor!

Very very difficult class. The material and labs would not be too difficult but the professor likes to make things very challenging. You can turn labs in repeatedly until you get 90%. Go for extra credit any time he offers, you'll need it. Thinks very poorly of the American educational system and will remind you in every class.
