Absolutely no resources on CU learn at all but overall he is a nice professor. Not the best but he tried his best to teach. Be prepared to read the textbook and do practice questions.

Professor Yu is simply the least competent professor I have ever had. It's like he asked himself "what is the worst way I could organize this course?" and then succeeded in it He: posted 3 versions of the syllabus, none of which worked Is a horrendous lecturer, but demands has a quiz worth 2% at the end of every class I'm out of room or I'd go on.

Comment:
Great professor and very interesting lectures, very different from the other masters economics courses offered. Lots of readings, but interesting theoretical concepts. Great course if you are into more abstract economic theory. Very fair marker, wants you to understand main idea instead of overly specific nuances. Great engaging speaker.

Worst proff I've ever had. No resources available on CuLearn , and in class you will have no idea what he is talking about. You will need to study the textbook on your own to pass this course.

He's a nice enough guy, but after finishing the course I still have no idea what he was talking about. The lecture was 3 hours but felt like 9. If you read the whole book and do lots of practice problems you'll still do fine.

Very confusing, doesn't explain we'll. Talks and hard to understand. Has a multiple choice quiz every week. Mark is based on 2 tests, one 5% Assignment and the marks from weekly quizzes. Multiple Choice is worth most of the test. Doesn't post anything online. Not even marks. Stay away!

Read this comment carefully: HE WILL DESTROY YOUR LIFE. My class petitioned against him. The Dean agreed with us, but still didn't fire him. I think out of 80 - 100 students only 15 stayed with the course. Lowest grade he ended up giving out on the final was a C+ to someone who hardly wrote anything. Hmm, I wonder how that happened. DROPPPPP.

Before Yu came along, I had never dropped a course. I can stick through difficult courses and most of the time, end up liking the material I learned. Prof. Yu however, was simply incompetent and unprofessional- so I dropped. He actually stood in front of the class and laughed at us because we didn't know how to do material he hadn't taught yet.

Horrible man. Midterm: 4 questions, each worth 25 marks. All based on Ch.7 which he spent like 30 minutes reviewing the class before the midterm, and the other hour expecting us to know how to solve some crazy questions on the board. He always has a smug look when you can't answer something; and yet, he's incapable of answering our questions. DROP.

Although his English is not pefect, he made the effort to speak clearly and audibly. I liked the fact that he tried to explain all the theories from the perspectives of students. It was much easier to understand the different points because he had simplified the theories and did not require much math skills from his students.

I just don't understand profs who cannot grasp basic english after spending years in an english speaking country. I did well in his course but that was because I learnt everything by myself. All he says is "whaaaa" what the heck is up with that?! HIRE AN ENGLISH SPEAKING PROF FOR CHRIST'S SAKE
