Comment:

Zoth was okay over all. If I had tried harder I probably could have passed his class before I dropped out. He is difficult to understand but if you ask him to explain more in depth, he will try to. If you struggle with math, I do not recommend him.

Comment:

Textbook isn't necessary since he never has required HW for class, but can be helpful. Make sure to ask questions if you don't understand, he'll help you & explain as many times as you need. Study the outlines, the tests are very similar to them. 3 Exams, 1 Cumulative Final. Only "bad" thing I can say is he never uses Blackboard.

If you have vision problems, you can still pass his class even if he just uses chalkboard. I could never see the board never payed attention and still passed with an A. If you did good in high school,you'll do great in this class. If you're like a new learner and had regular classes in high school don't take this class. Overall easy.

Nice man, but he teaches very old school and doesn't use Blackboard at all. He is willing to help if you need it though. Gives good outlines to tests (4)and gives a lot of examples from the book for you to do at home. Gives optional extra credit project and drops lowest test grade. Wouldn't take him if you're not good at math.

If you do not know algebra or are not that skilled in math DO NOT TAKE HIM. He stands at the board and mumbles with his back toward you. He doesnt use blackboard or the text book and has 3 tests. If you havent studied algebra in a while your not going to learn it here. if your good at math, its a blow over class and you can just show up for tests.

He is a terrible teacher. He writes and goes over problems very quickly. When you ask questions, he doesn't understand them. The girl sitting next to me had to answer all of my questions because he didn't. I would not recommend taking him unless you are already a math whiz.

With all sincerity he is not the best teacher if this is the first time you ever see calculus. He tends to skip steps and not explain the problems he solves on the board. He also mumbles a lot! I managed to pass the class with a good grade but I was basically teaching myself the material and doing as many practice problems as I could!

Math is not my strong subject but I managed to pass this class with an A because I showed up everyday, I did the homework when it was assigned and I asked questions when I had them. He teaches old school but he knows what he's doing, show up, pay attention and you may have to work for you're grade but you will pass. I would take him again.

If you struggle with math, like me.. he is a good teacher to take. He goes over every step. His test reviews are interesting. They arent examples of problems. It's basically an outline of everything you will see on the test. But he does go over the entire thing & gives you examples on what to expect. As long as you do your homework you CAN pass

This is a very nice teacher. He allow you to comment on the lecture ,you don't understand.No homework! If you focus on his lecture on backboard and hand dots extra questions he give. You will do fine on tests.your lowest test grade will be dropped. If you do not understand part of lecture,stop by math lab for assitance.

Old guy, can be very boring. Reviews a little too much. Don't need book because he enables my math lab and there's an online copy there. I like him a lot, but he should only be taken by people that plan to take more math. If you just need college Algebra, take someone else or you'll complain and annoy those of us that need more math.

He is a nice old man. Talks really low and mumbles and gets off subject, but teaches old school style. His test are easy if you pay attn and study a little. And he does drop the lowest test grade and replaces it with the final grade(it saved my ass). Not my first pick but not my last.

If you don't have a strong background in algebra, or are a strong, independent studier, then do not take this professor. He only has 3 tests and a final, does not require homework, so it is all on you to practice and make time to go get help. He says you don't need to do the homework but I did nearly every problem and still began doing poorly.

GREAT TEACHER. HE IS EXTREMELY OLD SCHOOL. NO TALKING IN CLASS BE RESPECTFUL ETC.CAN RAMBLE OFF TOPIC SOMETIMES BUT OTHER THAN THAT HE IS EXTREMELY HELPFUL. WILL DROP UR LOWEST TEST & REPLACE WITH FINAL GRADE. EXPLAINS INTO GREAT DETAIL. OVERALL DO PROBLEMS ON REVIEW/ TEST OUTLINE AND U WILL PASS.

He is a great professor but he is old fashioned so be respectful and pay attention and you will do well. He explains thing to death, but be patient it will pay off if you do not know something. His class examples of on the test sometime, they will be harder than in class so be prepared. Tests are timed. He fare and a good professor so have fun.

I did really well in this class...A. Although i did just take math 0306 to help to be familiar with the work. But this professor is okay...he don't take up homework but I'd suggest u do it to be familiar with the work come test day... He does give out outlines for the test. He kinda of rambles on and on... And gets off subject...class can get kind of boring. But overall do any homework assigned and ask questions..he more then willing to help.

for anyone taking tech math its really hard to fail this class. he's kinda boring and has lame jokes but sometimes he gets in a good one i passed with a b and i failed both 0305 and 0306 numerous times (i still haven't passed 0306)

He is a nice person, and he tries hard, but he is not a very good teacher. It is hard to approach him for help, and students talk in the back of his class and make it hard to hear him, but he doesn't stop them. Although he has some good points I would not take him if I were you.
