Comment:
THIS CLASS IS AWFUL!!!! He makes ZERO sense and does not teach from the book. Attendance is mandatory but even coming to class does not help. He "teaches from the book" but it doesn't match what the book teaches. NOTHING he teaches in class is on the quizzes. Doesn't complete the chapters before he tests you on them. Would not recommend this class!

All he does is lecture and its hard to understand him at times. There's only three online quiz which are easy if you can find the answers in your notes or the text. The midterm and final were hard. You definitely need to read the book and teach yourself.

Prof. Saranjam has some of the most BORING and longest lectures. It's very easy to get distracted. all the quizzes are online and you get two chances. However mid-termsfinals are in class. Prepare to teach yourself because he just reads from the book and writes notes on it. It was hard for my to grasp the concept from him lecturing. TRY AN AVOID!!

He is extremely hard, but overall is a nice guy. Provides a study guide for the mid-term and final, but the study guide is just as hard to complete as the exams. He offers extra credit essays to improve your quiz grades, but no extra credit for the exams. If you take him prepare yourself for a long stressful semester.

This is a pure lecture with a lot of writing off the white board. His quizzes and tests use both the book and notes taken in class. I got a high grade, but the class is not particularly easy for most students. You must stay diligent with your readings. For the mid term and final he will give a fair study guide that should guarantee a decent grade.

DIFFICULT & BORING! He failed to show up twice without emailing us. Nearly the entire class struggled to pass, although I got a B+. After people failed to do an online test on time, he broke his own rule & gave another day. After nearly the whole class failed the mid-term, he offered extra credit & awarded more points if you improved on the final.

DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR. I can't warn you enough. I'm a bright guy and currently failing along with half of my classmates because of Prof. Saranjam's complete disregard for the success of his students. Unfair midterm with content not covered in class, definitions not multiple choice, short answers ridiculously difficult, barely any partial cred

Very nice guy but difficult to understand. Writes out all of the notes on the whiteboard which is time consuming. Gives online open book test that are impossible to pass. Giving us a midterm now while the semester is 3/4 through (7 chapters in class no notes/book). Do not recommend.

Bad. Never let us know when he was going to cancel class. All he does is lecture for the full class , and the test have nothing to do with the notes. If you want to learn, this class isn't for you.

He lectures well, but quizzes/exams were based entirely off the book. Midterm/final were 6 essay questions. Went to his office hours and he was very helpful in that case.

Good professor, gives lots of opportunities for extra credit. Exams are take-home but use a lot of info that is from the book and not covered in lectures. Led to some issues with mathematical applications since we didn't really cover them in class. Still, he's a friendly guy and definitely knows his subject. I'd take him again

Nice guy, very understanding and helpful. The material is not super easy, but there are a few open book quizzes, a take home midterm and a final. Overall if you do the work, you will do ok. He is a great prof and I will take him again.

I currently have him for Labor Econ. Best professor I ever had. Real cool professor, teaches straight from the text and gives several examples while lecturing, is extremely helpful, and is always open to questions. Tests mare exactly what he covers, nothing thrown at you out of left field, and respects his students. The best Econ professor at BSC.

has a very heavy accent, but he speaks slowly and clearly pronounces words. the subject matter near the end gets convoluted, but he allows use of MegaStat and PHStat which make doing the exams a breeze. show up and take notes for a very good grade!
