I understand the class then get to the homework and am completely lost to the point where I just end up copying the answers from the answer key in calc hour. Then, after spending HOURS studying the material he asks questions that are harder than the homework and are unlike anything we have ever seen before. I am speaking for most of the class.

Great dude, makes the material easy to swallow, a little weird with the teaching style (felt like I was in 8th grade math sometimes) but it was effective! Literally still think of the guy as Poppa Duke. Also, much easier than Pietraho

Levy is a great guy! He is super helpful but his tests are really difficult. The group projects and labs are easy but beware of the tests because they are not about regurgitating previous problems. They test your understanding of the material.

Professor Levy is very helpful, interesting, and pleasant. He's very accessible. He's not an easy grader, but he seems to be fair. The only thing people who are interested in his class should know is that he is sometimes a little bit unclear about what he wants, so ask him! It helped me to just ask for assignment clarifications.

Made integral calc as painless as possible for me. Always willing to meet for office hours, and clearly explains homework, and helps you prepare well for tests. Amount of weekly homework is kind of excessive though.

Amazing Professor. Best I've had at Bowdoin. Takes difficult material and teaches it to you so well that it almost seems easy. Funny and charismatic. Can't wait to take another class with him.

Hands down the best teacher at Bowdoin. It doesn't matter if you like math or not, he'll teach you, you'll understand it, and you'll enjoy it. Anyone who's had him raves about him. Great guy who is funny AND cares about his students.
