very boring class and did not learn very much, however teacher is very sweat and tries hard to make it interesting. Very funny but self conscious. Tests are easy and tries to make sure all will succeed in class.

Chris is a sweet guy--very knowledgeable in art history! Loved his stories, too. A little nervous when lecturing, but you shouldn't lose focus b/c he expects you to memorize a lot on exams. Pay attention and you'll do fine.

His presentation style needs to be smoothed out a little. He seems uncomfortable in front of a class. However he is extremely knowledgeable and helpful.

He knows his art. He's not a great public speaker, but then, neither am I. I found him to be fair and witty and enjoyed conversing with him outside of class.

Young knows his art, but really has no business teaching. Reads his lectures verbatim (even the jokes are scripted). Wants students to write like him but doesn't explain how until AFTER he gives you the bad grade. At least he accepts revisions.

Comment:

Definitely not a Ph.D., used a book without sources and many errors. Gave tons of specifics and lots of details. If that's what you want from an Art History course this is the place. Required much memorization, useless in this day and age.
