Comment:

I can say with complete confidence that his WLS342 class was the worst class I have ever taken in college (I'm now a senior). He comes to lecture unprepared and uninterested. He hated class and showed it. He gave pop quizzes and tests that were impossible. Even if you do the readings, take notes, and come to class, it's very difficult. DO NOT TAKE!

Comment:

Dr. Cisneros is an amazing Spanish professor, I would def take him again. His lectures cover topics already learned in previous classes. It is a composition class but he gives you time to work in class and gives you great feedback.

Comment:

Dr. Cisneros is a very nice man and a very accomplished scholar. However, he is possibly the worst professor I have ever had. He is basically useless in terms of supporting his students. He doesn't post grades, he doesn't explain grading criteria, he doesn't make study guides, and he is a very boring lecturer. I recommend avoiding him at all costs.

He's a really funny guy and a native speaker which I liked. The oral quizzes are graded pretty harshly but overall it isn't a heavy workload. The environment is comfortable for speaking; he doesn't get annoyed or anything when you make mistakes. Would take again.

325 and 316 are definitely a big jump up in difficulty from 304. A lot of reading and the material is very difficult. I doubled up on these and definitely regretted it. He asks for a lot of participation but isn't easy to have a conversation with. I prefer Portocarrero but regardless, if you take these classes, DO THE READING.

Extremely kind and helpful. He is really funny as well. This was an 8 am class, and the entire course was based on conversation and participation. Make the effort, and you will do well. Loved Dr. Cisneros! He is very approachable and personable. He wants you to succeed.

Dr. Cisneros is delightful. I’ve had him for 2 semesters now and he creates a learning environment where it’s okay to make mistakes, so you feel comfortable speaking up! The work load isn’t overwhelming, but it is challenging. He grades fairly and offers generous curves. He’s hilarious, understanding, and even a native speaker. Take him.

Dr. Cisneros is one of my favorite professors at BU. He is one of the nicest and funniest guys. He tells lots of interesting stories. Gradings is very fair and he truly wants to help his students. I learned a lot in his class and am taking his for FLS 304 conversation. Take Dr. Cisneros. You won't regret it.

This teacher is HALARIOUS! I've never laughed more in a class in my life. No written tests, just speaking ones, but each error you make marks you down a point, so be careful. He always explains if you have a question, really nice guy. Even though class was 75 mins, i still enjoyed going. he's real laid back, seems to love what he does. take him!

Great teacher! Is is always willing to help, and won't make you feel dumb if you don't know something. He is really funny with all of his stories. You'll just want to put him in your pocket and take him with you.
