Comment:

The course requires a lot of readings and group projects (weekly), I was lucky to only have two partners both of which were great. It takes a lot of cooperation and working well with others to pass this class. He's very helpful and provides a lot of resources. His feedback is amazing and classes sometimes end early as he posts his lectures online.

Lectures are long, but bearable. Palermo is very knowledgeable in subject and is good if you want to pursue legal business. Online quizzes each week, group Blackboard responses, and a final case paper. Heard he might have exams (midterm, final) instead of the final paper in future classes. Responds to emails quickly and is reasonable with students.

Mark has real world experience he brings to the table. My first class in the MBA program, I can't say enough nice things about him. If you do the homework and attend class, don't be afraid to ask questions or go to office hours, you should do well. Class opened my eyes on how to use what I learned in a real business environment.

No tests. Weekly chapter quizzes (2-4 quiz per week). Lots of group work & final paper. Long lectures (2.5 - 3 hours) but 1 per week. Responds quick to email. Listens to students & informs students of business-related news on/off campus (real world & co-curricular). Need to know many words for quizzes (chap 8-20 pg.) Knowledgeable & lively guy.

Took online in the winter. quizzes are easy if you read the chapter and watch the lecture. Some quiz answers are wrong and outdated. Had to email him to get the answers adjusted. Paper is your upper division requirement so it takes work. Don't half ass it. Easy class, learned some interesting stuff.

Good guy, but not the greatest professor. Makes a lot of grading mistakes and mistakes with the online quizzes which your entire grade depends upon. He promised my class he would remedy this by giving everyone extra points and then he didn't.

first section of this class ever taught, was a little thrown together imo. weekly online assignments, simple if you read the ~40 page chapter along with the Qs. did a review for each but midterm and final were tough yet fair. simple group assignments. really great guy, nice, interesting, helpful. highly recommended, you'll learn and be entertained

He is by far the best professor I've ever took class with! I have taken four classes with Prof Palermo!The classes are always fun and interesting. Prof Palermo is always very nice to students and treats everyone fairly. He has very good teaching manner and is very professional!

the best teacher I've had at SB, I've learned more from him than anyone. He is extremely knowledgeable in finance/economics, effectively uses balance sheets to illustrate concepts, always thoroughly discusses current events and answers w/ detail any question you ask. 3 tests/semester+online quizzes, if you like the subject he's your man. I never tool his class while I was doing undergraduation..I totally regret that..The class was good even though the book is used less. No exams just keep up with the current events because he likes to talk about that. A group presentation at the end of the semester. Over all attend the class..and talk to the professor..

Very funny, teaches relative material, extremely knowledgeable. Only 2 tests, midterm and final. Tests are not as "tricky" as he leads on but they are difficult. Slides are directly from textbook. Read the textbook to do well.

This class requires a lot of work. He doesn't give midterms only one final that is cummulative of over 20 chapters. He gives weekly home work and quizzes. I basically hated the fact that there weren't any midterms. I'd rather do midterms than take one final becuase everything weighs on this one final.
