Comment:
The class average in a 200+ person class is a 40%! He reads from the slides, doesn't review questions in class, isn't clear regarding his test expectations, was only recently accessible outside of class, and makes you feel stupid for asking a question or incorrectly answering a question. The worse course I've taken.

You don't have to attend class, but I would suggest it since his exams are pretty much based on whatever he wants, so what he emphasizes in slides will be important. Know the experiments thoroughly including names of random instruments. Find students who have copies of past exams, he knows this is done and doesn't mind, it'll save your life.

Asandei is a funny man. I'll give him that but only that. He asked his TAs to write questions for the midterm, which I found to be extremely difficult asking about minutia (e.g. Raoult's Law) as opposed to the overarching concepts I studied. PowerPoints are posted online, and your TA in lab is CRUCIAL. Overall, this man is all over the place.

The lab itself isn't bad, but his lectures are interesting. The reason people don't do good on his exams is because a lot of the questions require you to think outside the box. Most people can't do that. Being said, he'll curve to account for people getting a lot of the questions wrong. It's a breeze if you did well in orgo 1 and 2.

TERRIBLE PROFESSOR. You have 3 hour lab twice a week, enough said. Labs are alright. You don't have to go to class, it never helped. The exams (Midterm and Final) are terrible. You would learn about ABC and the exam will ask about 123. The problems are ridiculous, you will blank out even if you are prepared. His exams are ridiculous.

Class is very tough and time consuming. Do well in lab because exams are very tough. Other than that the professor is hilarious and tries to keep lecture entertaining.

Absolutely horrible. Avoid at all costs. All he does is try to trick you on the exams, not a fair and accurate way to measure knowledge and comprehension

The slides will have everything you need and the review sessions/materials are comprehensive. An engaging professor, with a sense of humor. I went to lecture more for entertainment than to learn anything, but I am glad I'm done with this course.

Takes a few weeks to get used to the grind of the labs but after that it gets much easier. You can skip all the lectures if you want, they aren't necessary.Slides were funky colored but had all you need to know. Exams were fair and he gives decent review sessions. Nice guy, he cracks good jokes here and there

Lecture is useless, he tells you you're wrong and never gives you the right answer. And he's very disorganized. Exams are somewhat fair if you study the review he posts.

He was not the best professor, but I thought he was funny. If you understand what is going on in lab then you'll do fine on the exams, especially the midterm. He did go over major topics and possible tricks he could put on the final a few classes ahead of time so if you went to class you knew what was going to be on the final.

CHEM 2445- The Lab part is probably the easiest, depending on the TA. However, the discussion part is useless cause he doesn't even tell you the answer to something and he laughs at the students it they answer his question wrong. The midterm and final were fair, but still hard. He does curve a lot, which is why I got an A-.

Useless to go to lecture. And not helpful outside of class. The lab portion is not bad - just the midterm and final are based on his powerpoints. Two days before the final hadn't written it yet, and didn't know what to tell us to study. Final is "cumulative" but we only get 50min to complete. Choose someone else

powerpoints are full of useless information, when he asks a question to the class, he doesn't specifically say what the right answer is, and he makes the exams 20minutes before the actual exam, so basically you have no idea what he will put on there.
