He seems to know math but all he explains are definitions and laws. He rarely ever does numerical examples, and yet he grades on them with NO PARTIAL CREDIT. His reasoning for that is that you are a *moron* if you don't get it right. And when you ask him a question he goes off on tangents repeating the same answer that does not answer your question

Worst math teacher I've ever had in my life. He's a smart guy but he is just not an effective teacher. He goes over the stuff and confuses the entire class. I've been to every class so far because it's mandatory, but I haven't learned one thing from him. Avoid him at all costs.

Great man and good prof. He doesn't know how to control his classroom and that can get a bit annoying. He allows you to use your book so that made the class a bit easier. I would recommend him just be prepared for the first couple of weeks to be a bit hectic because of the ignorance of grown people not listening.

I feel sorry for him. A lot of the students are just jerks and rude and obnoxious. There is nothing wrong with him. He is great. It is just that many of his students are so darn lazy and inept that they want to take it out on him. It is not his fault!!! One of the most outstanding profs we have at the university. Two thumbs up.!!!!

He is an 80 yr, old teacher, so he is sometimes disorganized. He goes over the questions on the practice test BECAUSE SOME PEOPLE IN THE CLASS WANT HIM TO. The questions on the practice test are extremely helpful because you will receive similar questions on the actual test. The tests are easy, multiple choice, and you can take them 4 times total.

Silberger is a bad teacher. Really unorganized. Doesn't have organized lectures just randomly talks about the subject and doubles back to correct things then spends the next couple weeks going over the test problems for the upcoming take home test. Easy class but the guy is rude often berates people who ask ques. which can be pretty funny.

Dr. Silberger is flat out horrible. The class is certainly passable but he makes being there unbearable. Rude, belligerant, and seemingly infirm of mind are his worst traits. You won't learn much and your patience will be tested!

While he's a very smart individual, his teaching ability is horrible. He overcomplicates problem solving, confusing students who aren't at the same level as him. If he didn't deduct points for missing more than 5 classes, I'd show up only on test dates.

Does not teach students! He writes out the problems on the board, skips steps, doesn't explain what he is doing, and then leaves you lost. If you take him you will be learning everything on your own.
