For Starters, he looks way too much like Billy Crystal. As for his teaching ability I would say sub-par. He does not care about the students and is not flexible in any form or fashion. Two tests (Midterm and Final), and they are multiple choice and choice d is always none of the above. If you are taking IT014 please do not take him.

very boring. two tests: midterm and final, both worth 35% of final grade. Theyre both 50 MC except the 4th choice on every question is "none of the above" so even if you wanted to use process of elimination, you cant. And he didnt stress saving with the f file bc i lost all my work and couldnt keep up the rest of the semester. very poor prof.

Hey, y'all, I took BCIS 14 my first semester in 2000 and was so impressed that I took his course on software development where I learned about COBOL. He knows what he's doing. I did well in his course. If someone doesn't get the grade that the person hoped for then the person obviously earned the grade that was deserved. Come on, you snowflakes!!!!

All I gotta say is he's a nice guy, but he's a terrible professor. If you have the option of having another professor instead of zilbert, I would recommend taking them instead. Zilbert is incredible boring especially when I had my 3 hour class with him, he made it feel like 10 hours. He's very unclear and doesn't give the greatest feedback. Avoid.

Nice guy and definitely knows what hes talking about but an absolutely awful professor. Constantly gets off task, talking about nonsense that is completely irrelevant to the course and the tests are on information that isn't even mentioned in class. Also, he posts assignments for about a day and then takes them down after as if they weren't there.

Dr Zilbert is a great professor. He uses real life examples to discuss everything in class. He knows EVERYTHING about computers. His tests can be a bit difficult b/c you need to know keyboard shortcuts in Microsoft office apps. I went into the class thinking it would be a drag, but I actually enjoyed it. Dr Zilbert is a nice guy a good professor

i LOVED zilbert. If I could take him every semester I would. The class is 4 hours long but he gives a break in btwn. He never uses the textbook, all assignments are done online, and the tests are a piece of cake. If you get the chance to take him you should!

He's a pretty easy teacher, gives a break in the middle of class (it's 4 hours straight). It's a relatively simple class and it's easy to get bored. My only complaint is that he holds eye contact FOREVER when making his point, which makes everyone feel really awkward. Other than that, he's a pretty good teacher, I just wish class wasnt 4 hours long

Good teacher. The multiple choice exams were sometimes tricky with questions asking which key combination does what in Excel. Otherwise, if you understand how to do the Excel formulas you'll get an A

Easy class. All the notes are on Blackboard, and the tests come right from the notes. The class is boring as anything if no one talks though. Easy to get him off on a tangent too. :-) But he's a good teacher over all.

This class was very easy. Prof. Zilbert only assigned 2 assignments, one HTML and one javascript, both very simple. All the notes on blackboard so u don't have to worry if u miss class. Multiple choice exams can be a little tricky but overall not a hard class at all.

He's not that bad-he does look like Billy Crystal. You don't have to pay attention in class, just study the notes on Blackboard and you'll be fine. If you interact with him he'll like you, and he's actually a pretty nice guy besides. One of the better profs. in the Computer Science department, that's for sure.

He does look just like Billy Crystal. No one really pays attention and several times during every class he is yelling at someone for being on AIM. All his notes are on blackboard though and that's helpful. Just print them out and study and you will get a good grade.

All you have to do in this class to get an A is print out his notes online and study them. No need to pay attention especially because he speaks with too many dramatic hangs and thinks he's funny. Listening to him makes you want to die but getting the easiest A is worth it.
