Dr. Funk is the most mind-numbingly boring prof. I've ever had... I don't mind reading but the stuff she has us read seems completely unrelated to the stuff she "teaches." Have no clue what to take notes on during her lecture either, because they follow no pattern and are extremely unorganized...don't take this course unless you must...

Yeah, she's spacy and I LOVED that about her! She would stop mid-discussion and say "OH" quietly when she wanted you to THINK about something. From a female perspective, I appreciated the "male-bashing" but didn't think it was overdone. She was respectful to the males in the class, but was just down on the patriarchal society as a whole.

Very odd lady, laughs at everything, pauses in the middle of a sentence and will just say "yeah" or "ok" kinda strange. Didn't get anything out of her lectures, they weren't structured and sometimes had nothing to do with our test questions but tests weren't too too bad. I wouldnt' take her again unless I needed a good nap

Dr. Funk is very dry, sometimes kind of spacey, her curriculum is sort of outdated, but it is a good introductory class. Assignments are very easy, and she is a fair grader. She is more than happy to clarify anything for you. Good class for an easy A.

not hard at all...but very, very dry...the majority of the information was taught in my intro to women's studies class. Not what I was expecting at all! The information is interesting but the teaching style is so boring!She is sweet but has been teaching too long:(

I adored her, you will get an a or b in this class no matter what you do and there are lots of extra credit opportunites. She has cute stories and is a cute older lady in cowboy boots. Take this class definately. And it is not male bashing.
