Comment:
Applied Categorical Data Analysis. Interesting underlying material (chi square distributions), bogged down through really dryboring biology and medical studies with very little social science applications. R programs given sometimes do not work. Very latelast minute arbitrary grading and posting of previous solved testsHW's. Avoid if possible.

Never looks like she wants to be in class and sometimes goes MIA and just has T.A.s teach for multiple classes in a row. Not helpful as she is very short with you. Notes rarely include examples which makes the homework harder than it should be. Expect to be lost in a class that should be super easy.

Dr. Froelich was a great teacher in this summer course. She was a clear lecturer, and presented topics slow and steady, periodically seeking student feedback. She scanned and uploaded tidy class notes, as well as solutions for class-time problems, each day of class. Pleasant, friendly, and approachable for office hours. Fair and relevant exams :o)

Dr. Froelich is the best statistics professor I have ever encountered. Her methods are focused, purposeful, and very clear. If you go into her class wanting to learn the material, you will not e disappointed. I only wish I would have had her for more classes.

Tries to be nice, but is unprofessional and not consistent about what she says she will do and what actually happens. Seems more concerned this semester about helping her grad student do research than the well-being of the undergraduate students who are also paying tuition.

Probably the best lecturer I've had here at ISU. She makes it super easy to learn the material and she doesn't expect us to know stuff she never explained like many other professors do. Very easy to get a good grade if you just go over the study guides.

She's a great teacher! She is very interested and works very hard to make sure everyone understands everything and is very willing ot help. She has a great layout for notes and the homework is straight from the notes. The quizzes, homework and lab's cap of at a certain percent so it's really easy to get 100% on all of that.

Given that I didn't buy the book, it was a bit difficult to study if I missed a lecture, but otherwise not too bad. She isn't a great lecturer, but it was about what I expected out of an intro Stat course.

I honestly felt like I was wasting a lot of time here. She wasted so much class time with ridiculous activities and pointless stories about her life. Its nice to get to know your professors a little, but really, you can go too far. She often showed up JUST before class started and wasted class time setting up.

This was my first real stat class, and she didn't put the material in context very well - but given it's a theory class, maybe she's not supposed to. The first test surprised me in difficulty, but after that I knew what to study and the rest of the class went well.

She's not as bad as some of the other reviewers say... If you go to class/labs and understand the basics, you'll do fine, though parts of her tests can be a little tricky. She is very interested in developing interest in the subject.

Dr. Froelich taught the course well. Apparently, what I found relatively easy my fellow students found incredibly hard. Dr. F tried to help the students whenever she could. However, if you don't study and have no concept of statistics, well, Stat 342 is likely a BAD CHOICE as an elective.

If you screw up once, you better drop the class b/c she won't help you and she'll basically tell you you have no hope.

This class was horrible. I'd take 104 if you have a choice since all the 101 sections are the same. She seemed like she really didn't enjoy teaching and she was kind of a ****.
