Ana Lazar is one of the best professors I've ever had. She assigns a lot of reading, but it is relevant and has introduced me to a lot of really good theory. I don't usually rate professors, but her poor rating on here upset me. She has actually made me feel able and excited to be a social worker.

I took the 2nd part of theory with Ana, I believe she's the only professor that teaches HBSE at a graduate level. She's a very intelligent woman but sometimes I feel, she downgrades her students, as though the students are simply JUST students. She's challenging and unclear when it comes to her papers.

Ana is simply wonderful, she has great knowledge about the subject matter and I highly respect her as an a professor and a social worker. She's extremely fair. Theory overall isn't a very exciting topic but Ana makes it interesting or at lease tries to. She's just the nicest person you'll ever meet and an amazing person!

Oh, come on people! All of the comments on here made me terrified to take Ana's class. I'm glad they didn't scare me away because I loved her class. The work load is a little daunting at first glance; however,if you pace yourself and act like a grown up, you won't have any trouble. I enjoyed her and the class.

Ana is by far the most unaapreciative insensitive prof I have had. She has been out of practice way to long for her to inspire any kind of confidence in what she has to say about the practicing world of social work. She presents ideas in a simplistic way, but has great expectations for the work passed into her. AVOID HER IF YOU CAN!!!

Ana, while clearly an intelligent woman and interesting to talk to, is also extremely inconsistent. She does not espouse the values that she seeks to teach in her behavior toward students. She has great information to share, but isn't very interested in absorbing or hearing the alternative perspectives of her students.She is nota student advocate.

Ana is a typical social work professor - a bit out there. She is open to students expressing views that go against hers and it doesn't bruise her ego. She expects high quality writing and her grading reflects that.
