Comment:
Tutorial itself was alright. We did a lot of reading and summarizing, wrote a lot of papers, and gave speeches. Almost no one took the class seriously. He did take us to get Chinese food twice. But my experience with him as an adviser was mediocre. All of my meetings were extremely awkward. I don't think he ever really learned my name.

He's much better at teaching literature, than language. He's not always clear about what he says. His class was more boring than with other Russian professors. He is an ok prof to take, but if you have choice any other one from the department would be better

He didn't go out of his way to help and advise, but would answer all questions clearly. Despite all the crispness, he is adorable.

He comes of as harsher and more difficult than he really is. I think its the stern Russian air. But he's cool, and the class wasn't very difficult.

It has been a very pleasant class. He's pretty good at leading discussion and shares interesting information about the authors we read. Very vague on guidelines for the papers, but they're only a page long.

I wish there were a box to check for, so hot he's on fire. The most amazing class I had last semester. Very laid back and understanding, with a great sense of humor. A great teacher and really chill advisor.
