Not only was his class a breeze, but he's very approachable too. Yeah, there were times we would be off topic in class for a while, but as long as you follow the syllabus and calendar on blackboard, you should be fine. Also, everything is about pop culture so if you're a person who likes to choose their topics, this is the professor you need.

Very monotone lecturer, 4 projects based around pop culture, if you skip class it doesn't matter, he goes over the readings in class and just reads them straight to you, discussion boards on Blackboard weekly, turns Friday classes to online days, papers are easy to write in a short amount of time, takes forever to grade

Very clear on what he wants, slow grader, discussions posts are long and boring. Book is really only needed for the quizzes but they can be done without it.

In the course, there are only four assignments. Three papers and one video. This prof lectures for almost the whole class. There are weekly discussion posts and quizzes that are super easy.

He personality wasn't the problem. How long it took to get grades on a paper was. I started my third project before I received feedback on the first. How can you improve? It's a good intro class to make ENG 104 seem easy.

I liked him! He was clear with what he wanted and walked you through what you needed to do to get a good grade. His lectures are pretty painful though, it is all common sense stuff.

Scott is more than willing to help you grow into a better writer. he is always available via email or office hours. This class is not an easy A or B. If you don't want to be challenged do not take him. He pushed me as a writer and student. I am thankful for that. If you try your hardest, this class is rewarding regardless of the grade you receive.

I'm currently still in the hybrid class. Do not take this class unless you love comic books and superheroes. I have never touched a comic book before in my life and now i'm required to read, interpret, and write like 5 papers over superheroes. Also he is a pretty rude person, he will make fun of your ideas if he doesn't agree and grades hard.

I took his hybrid class - half In class and half online. He didn't always explain things clearly but if you asked he cleared it up. He is a hard grader but if you go to class and do the work you're fine. A lot of people don't like him but I think he's pretty good!

He was a very unpleasant teacher and graded pretty harshly. You cant miss more than a set # of classes or he will fail you. English is supposed to be easy. I recommend taking anyone before him!

He does grade hard but it makes you a better writer in the end. The papers do get harder as the semester progresses but they are really thought-provoking and are intended to really broaden your writing abilities. Read the textbook! You use the whole thing and are quizzed on each chapter. But he is a really nice guy and very approachable, funny too.

Required students to write a feature-length screenplay. Some students whined about it, but because of Andrew, I have written a screenplay, something I never thought I'd do, let alone in college. I'm revising it now. He knows what he's talking about. He's also funny and nice. He sets the bar high. I like that.

He was a very dry humor person, didn't explain things very clearly at all. Grades really hard. I would not take him again.

I loved him as a professor. He grades pretty hard, but if you do the work & put forth effort you should be fine. He gives quizzes periodically to get you points and he's always making jokes. He's very approachable. Take him if you can!

He was a very hard grader. Try working on a research paper for three weeks, going to his office twice and the writing center twice, and still getting a C on the paper. It is frustrating, and I am not that bad in English.

Ok professor. Explanation of papers only in syllabus. If you have a question he tells you to re-read the syllabus. You take quizzes over all the chapters you read in the text. Writing assignments are not too terrible. If you are a decent writer, you will do fine.

He kept me interested in class because he's funny and smart, and he cares about his students. I had a whackjob for 103 (Royster) who sang and tossed candy to us like it was a carnival, not a college class. Andrew can be a tough grader, but I learned a lot.

Andrew works to help us get to the next level, whatever that means. For me, that meant shedding some of my bad high school habits (I earned A's in h.s., but only b/c teachers were lazy). I liked going to his class. I learned a lot. I'm a better writer now, end of story.

I found that he was very hard when he was grading papers and very reluctant to explain grades on papers or the mistakes I made so I could fix them in the future. Due to his lack of help I was lucky to even pass the course and then when I took this class again with another professor and got an A.
