Dr. Doig is a great professor. Her tests were not too bad, and she is a fair grader. Try to do all the exercises in the book because it's the best way to prep for tests. There are 3 tests and 1 final, plus many short quizzes based on what was learned during the previous class. I would definitely take her again.

As a professor, I thought she could be a little bit more organized. She is very knowledgeable on French grammar and you can tell that she is passionate about what she does. She gives quizzes on homework we did the night before so having the book is a must. Keep up with the homework because she will call on you to see if you did it. Also very nice!

I love Madame Doig! She is does a wonderful job of enunciating the French language so it is easy for everyone to understand. I always found that I could catch onto what she was saying, even if I got a little lost on the way. She notices if you make an effort and she is not belittling. I learned a lot just listening to her speak!

Speaks only french. Needed this class for an English requirement. Not easy if you can't exactly speak the language, but if you show improvement, she'll work with you. I've heard she's a lot better than the other professors that teach this course, though. class can be fun. regular grammar quizzes, 2 tests 25% together & final 25%. really nice lady.

Madame Doig is a very nice professor. She knows the French language inside and out. The 2002 level classes can be a little boring with her but at the 3000 level, there is more conversation and more interesting stuff that we do in class. Like everyone else says, she doesn't make you feel bad if you aren't the best.

She is great, but only if you are serious about learning French. She is perfect for transitioning from the 1002 level to intermediate. This is because she speaks mainly French in class, but slowly and clearly so you can understand. I would recommend her.

Her class is extremely insiteful. Even if you've already learned most of the material, you'll still walk out knowing worlds more than before.

Intelligent lady. She sort of hopes for a lot more class participation than is realistic, but if you're the kind of perosn who volunteers (correct) answers, your grade will reflect that. And even if you're not particularly good at french, she's not going to yell at you for it.

I've never really enjoyed french but I was good at it so I went ahead and took it in college. The class was kinda boring (could've been because I found the subject kinda boring) but she knows what she's talking about and you will come out knowing a little more then you did when you got there. I recommend if you really like french.
