Prof Sagar is amazing. After 30 yrs in the US she barely has an accent. She is VERY approachable, knowledgeable and understanding. She expects the best from her higher level classes and will do what she can to support you. She is a lovely individual and I wish I could say at Purdue just to take more classes from her!

I really enjoyed taking a class with her. She is awesome! She makes even the most boring topic seem interesting. Her English is not hard to understand at all and she is always willing to help and is very understanding if you have a problem.

Comment:

She is an excellent teacher and makes an effort to keep students interested. However, I find her grading very harsh!(We needed an impossible 98 on 100 to get an A+) If you enjoy a challenge, I would recommend her classes for it is most definitely NOT an easy 'A'.

She is highly committed to her classes and her reading selections are brilliant. Being white, or straight, or gay, or whatever, does NOT exlude anyone from her classes. Purdue is lucky to have her teaching here.

I really liked the readings, and she was very nice; very helpful. If you feel that being white and middle-class makes you feel left out, then it's only because of the subject matter, not because she tries to exclude anyone. (So she teaches one of the required, "Be nice to women and minorities" classes - that's really not her fault).
