This class lacks some serious depth. Easy for a wnst 300afam 400 level class but boring as hell. She assigns outdated news articles and plays old documentaries. If you're looking for an easy upper div A, it's good. If want to learn more about a specific area of your majorminor, it's tedious and can sometimes feel like a waste of money.

Dr. Lang is the best. I learned so much in this class especially about sexual assault on college campus. The knowledge from that alone is incredible. Although there are 2 10-page papers, she basically gives everyone A's as long as you turn in your paper. She's one of those teachers though that you try to impress with your papers.

Dr. Lang is the absolute best! She makes me excited to go to a night class every Wednesday. Her sex race and violence class is so interesting and she is very knowledgeable due to her career as being a social worker. You will learn so much from this class and it is not difficult at all!

I loved Black identities in family culture. She is a wonderful professor and truly made the class fun and interesting.Take her class if you would like to have a very positive learning experience.The work was 2 ten paged papers and 2 five and not difficult.Attendance was counted but she is very understanding.Big home cooked meal at the end of class!

Because of Dr. Lang, African American Studies is now my minor. I learned so much from her and appreciate her willingness and dedication to the students of LMU. We really need more teachers like her. The university would be a totally different and more comfortable environment if we did! Thanks Doc!
