Ethical Decision Maker! Professor Leonard made an incorrect assumption about me, but it was an honest mistake with good reason. After the decision was made, however, he approached me and apologized for making the assumption and even offered me the opportunity to re-attempt the assignment. His display of integrity made me proud to take his class.

If you are okay with teaching yourself this is a great class for you! Be prepared to sit in a 3 hour class and fight sleep while you try desperately to figure out what he's talking about. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE BOOK! You'll need it!

He doesn't require attendance, but does of course require you to do the online homework, and exams which are quite extensive. I strongly suggest just doing the work online, and utilize the "help me solve this.." for the homework, comprehensive problem, and the final exam review (bonus). He's like that Economic's Teacher in Ferris, yeah that movie.

I am going to be completely honest, this class was so trash I actually stopped coming to class the last like 3 or 4 weeks because I was teaching myself how to do it at home. I was so lost in the class. He would often talk about things that aren't related to the class. Now this class isn't impossible but you gotta be on top of everything. Good luck!

Be prepared to read, because I taught myself through his entire class for an A. His lectures branch off into newspaper articles about non-accounting stories and often gets derailed by other students. He has no control over his class and less control on how to work the online work. Knowledgeable for sure, but does an awful job at expressing himself.

All work is done through online resources, but the instructor is not tech savvy. Lectures are dry and do not match the homework and tests that all grading comes from. Does not respond to emails in a timely manor and is not helpful with course material when asking for assistance.

This professor knows the subject however, this class is the most boring one I have ever taken in college, he speaks in a monotone voice and does not really explain things as he goes along unless you stop him to ask and even then, you still may not get what he is trying to convey. I would not take this professor again.

I don't recommend it but, if you're planning to take Professor Leonards' class, you will need the textbook! Very hard to understand and handwriting is horrible. Class is basically self taught. He mainly uses the chalkboard with some powerpoint slides. Doesn't go over homework problems. All homework & exams online. Still not worth it.

Excellent professor. Really knows the material and will help you as much as he can. The material is tough and fast-paced but he provides the resources to learn and manage it. Wish there were more professors like him at SPC!

Professor Leonard does a good job of relating accounting to real life situations, and does infuse some comic relief into his classes. The homework and exams are done online using My Accounting Lab, and while it is a lot of work, I found if I gave myself enough time I was able to easily complete. I would take a class with him again.

Quizzes outweigh final exam grade. All assignments on MyAcctLab with multiple chances for HW, and 1 attempt for quizzes. Very fair grading! Highly recommend.

One of the best professors I have had of all my classes. The work isn't hard, but you have to do it to understand what you are doing. Class mostly thought through Acct Lab, but hes very good with the communication if you need any help at all. Will take classes with him again! Top of my list.
