DO NOT take any course "taught" by this person! She is awful. She won't teach you anything about the class subject. You will however be beaten up over grammar and formatting. She desperately wants to take points off everything you do. Her grading style is ridiculous and her expectations are confusing at best. Worst teacher experience of my life!

Probably the hardest/worst teacher I've had so far at this school. Avoid if possible. Instructions are pretty clear but very detailed. Very picky when grading. The only good thing is that she gives improvement points midterm and at the very end of the course to boost grades.

Expectations are not clear. Very hypocritical. Demands perfection but lacks the ability to write a homework assignment free of grammar or spelling errors. Does dot provide clear or concise feedback. Gives no examples as to the correct way. Only Business Com professor. Best bet, take at another school and transfer it in. Harder than statistics

Comment:

I spent 4 hours doing her 2nd assignment which was about ten questions and get a 40%. I spent this much time on it because on my first assignment I got a 6/50! Her grading style is ridiculous and she was condescending. Avoid at all costs. I get decent grades in school, except with her. She just makes you feel stupid, when school is about learning.

Absolutely terrible teacher. She is very smart, but she grades everyone like they can make no mistakes. I got 10% taken off an assignment because I didn't capitalize two words. She doesn't grade on how well you know the content, but more on if you graded the answer like she wanted you to. Her expectations for assignments aren't clear.

This was the hardest class out of the whole program. Teacher was very unclear of her expectations, condescending, and does not respect students. Plan to dedicate a lot of time and energy to this course. Would never take a class from her again. Wish the school would give her lessons on how to treat other people and give constructive feedback.

Professor is very knowledgeable, but her teaching methods may not be liked by all. She grades very strictly. Very high focus on APA format and English grammar. She gives clear and detailed feedback though. Most important: for all those disheartened, she awards subjective bonus points at the end. If you are close to grade A, don't worry.

Probably the worst teacher I have ever encountered. Her grading style is absurd. If you make one spelling mistake she will take off all of the points for grammar. It seemed like I got better grades on the assignments I put less effort into. I have given up on this class at this point because she is unreasonable. Stay away!

Ironically, this professor chooses opposite teaching methods to what is being suggested in the course or the subject matter. Grades unreasonably hard, does not give option to correct mistakes. Unclear or confusing guidelines. Does not help the cohort in maintaining harmony. She knows the subject, but, that's about it. Unfortunate experience..:(

Awful professor. EXTREMELY nitpicky. Takes off points for every little thing. I would hate to see the grades others are getting because I'm a 4.0 student and she's given me some bad grades. Her red font haunts my dreams.

Comment:

Dr. Limbach's Business Communications class is one of the hardest in the CSC business program. The assignments can be confusing and I often found myself frustrated. That said, she's pretty helpful and she rewards hard work. She awards a lot of bonus points at the end of the semester to those that deserve them.

Dr. Limbach is by far the worst professor I've encountered. I read through all of the other ratings and everything rings true - she is not helpful at all, she is extremely nit picky, she'll demolish your confidence, her directions are about as clear as swamp water, etc. Seriously, do yourself a favor and avoid all classes with her.

The most obtuse instructor I have had at CSC. This class does not reward you for thinking about real life and defending your position, rather it rewards burying your head in the sand the giving her answers. There is no way this class prepares students for the real business world and the instructor does not care about that.

What should I write about her? She lowers the student confidence on the first day of class. Her grading style is way different, more like crazy. I'm so glad I don't have to take anymore class with her. She should be fired from her job.

She is the worst teacher I have ever had. Her group forums are annoying and makes no sense, she doesn't give you credit for anything if you turn in an assignment and you put in the effort but forget one thing you get a 0. She is a bad teacher don't like any class I have had that she has taught will never take a class by her again.

She turned a class I had already taken previously and made an A in a really horrendous experience. She nitpicked all semester about stuff that nobody cares about in the real business world- I should know, I work in it! Speaking in third person, etc made everything so much harder. Avoid this professor if you can!
