Anyone who says this professor isn't great didn't even try. Professor Talbott is one of the best teachers I have ever had. She's energetic, fun, and willing to work with you on most anything if you just ask her. Her class is not black and white, it's a creative and thoughtful class that asks you to do a lot of thinking.

I took an eight week English course online. Barrie was very thorough in her directions as to what she wanted. I needed extra help, and she agreed to meet with me in person to help me work on my paper - not a lot of online teachers would do that. To most, online is ONLINE. She is fairly easy on grading. She goes directly from a rubric. Great class!

I hated the ENG210 course itself, but I liked Barrie. She was very understanding and encouraged us to give our opinions. I would suggest taking her for 210. She grades fairly easy. Sometimes you will feel lost in her class though.

First off I don't really think she is hot but she is so sweet to her students that she deserves the title. She doesn't mind giving extentions and she really teaches you a lot, Though maybe not in class. The papers she assignes are very helpful for the future and in a way they teach students to find out on their own, what is out there.

This class started out very boring but turned around in the end. The simulation game for academic writing was a great help for me b/c it puts you into the real world. As long as you go to class and try she grades fairly.

Seemed like a hard class in the begining and a lot of people dropped. Actually ended up being one of the easier writing courses and was some what beneficial. She is very lenient and really nice. If you just talk to her she is happy to give extensions on papers.

Nice person but very vague. This class should have been called "Critical Thinking" because that's what its all about. Colosal waste of time but a GenEd requirement (SMS administrators should be tortured for requiring this)

she is mad vague.... and she will not go above the stipulations for a grade. if you got an 89.9 its a B and no matter how much groveling you do, and believe me im the master in chief of grovelling, it wont change her mind. Be afraid, be very afraid.

I would agree that Barrie was vague at times, but I thought that this was an asset rather than a limitation. It helped me take ownership of myself and my assignments. This was a group project oriented class. But, don't let that scare you. I hated them too until this class. Just keep an open mind!
