I never knew what this guy was talking about.I took him in Political Thought and Thinkers. Lot of reading materials 9 books all cheap. He doesnt let you email him w/ questions about exams but does give a review sheet with all the questions and he chooses like 3 or 4. Tests are kind of hard, but he curves. I failed everything and got a b-.

His class was extremely boring and he was mean when it came to the tests. He'd always say "Do not email me or ask me about the tests." Okay well how am I supposed to know what's going on? Just because you said it in class doesn't mean i might have questions about something else pertaining to the test -_- I was annoyed. He's funny but still, boring.

This was a special topic class on what I thought was going to a completely boring composer/musician. 1st class I was falling asleep but I learned to really like Prof Seldes and found his stories interesting. The fact that he wrote the text allowed him to tell the story from a qualified position. Very fair exams and grading.

this guy was terrible, i wanted to put my face in a blender and turn it on smoothie before even setting foot in his class. one time in class he called me a cheater in front of the whole class, i was like seriously? stepping in a rusty bear trap is a better idea than taking 1 of his classes

AVOID!!!!!! please don't make the same mistake I made, this class is tourcher... idn what these kids were on when they left these comments but his boring, and once said to me after asking a question use common sense I don't have time! no grade is worth what you have to sit through 2 times a week.

Amazing professor! He makes sure that everyone understands what he means when he's talking. Don't worry about asking questions; he will answer them! There's a first exam, mid-term and final--all written. Makes political science relevant to current times even if you aren't interested!

Great guy, but he will call you out if you are late/ don't participate / are blatantly wrong. Definitely read the book. His tests are all essay format and he's pretty generous but you should study and stay on top of the reading. Great life experience/interesting stories, too. If you make an effort he'll help you out

Man can sit there and orate all day. Very smart, knowledgeable whole hearted man that is more than fair. Hard tests and lots of material thrown at you, but he grades a little easier than you might think. READ your material and go to class - life will be so much easier come midterms and finals.

Professor Seldes is a great, his lectures are easy to listen to because he tells them like a story so they are not boring. He knows the material extremely well and always tells you exactly what will be on a test or quiz. He is so awesome. On the final he let us make the questions beforehand and then let us have an open note final. What a great guy!

Dr Seldes is one of the smartest people I know. he knows so much about EVERYTHING. He can make any class interesting because of the stories he tells and examples he gives. His lectures are clear so it is easy to understand the material. Great Teacher!!!

He's a great guy...a little drawn out, but since he tells things story style it's almost nice to wake up to...don't go if you're not prepared...He will manage to call on you on that one particular day...He always tells you the essays that will be on your test before hand...you should be fine, take this for core requirements!!
