His class is soooo boring. There is alot of reading, but I never read. As long as u pay att and take good notes ur'll do fine. I got a B+ and only studied my notes. he goes over EVERYTHING. He likes to tests the symbols and meanings of the list not the plot.

Nice guy, knows his stuff and very passionate about Russian and languages in general but he just can't teach it to others effectively. He's definately getting on in years and it shows. His lectures are often disconnected and therefore hard to follow. I dread going to his class and I wish I didn't have to take RUS 101 next semester.

I was so happy to be taking Russian, this was not inspiring at all. It's the most boring class and he stutters so when we learn a new word I dont know if he's saying it right or if thats his stutter coming out. He's the sweetest most understanding persono but he's not a great teacher.

Prof. Winter is a very helpful prof. Although a bit quirky, he really loves Russian Lit. I regret not being more serious when I took his course but I appreciate what I learned from him.
