I took Sutter's 101 and Intro to Drama/Poetry class, both were very enjoyable. Sutter is a brilliant writer. He cares about his student and tries to insure that they all do well. He is intimidating at first, but he will warm up to you after a while. If you put in an effort, you will do well in his classes.

There is no fooling around in his class..he stays focused and never gets off subject. always calls on you unexpectedly so pay attention! lots of essays to write and he grades very hard. my least favorite prof so far at uws.

He is an excellent prof. who truly cares about his subject and what his students think as well. He is very funny and approachable. I would highly recommend taking his class if you have the opportunity. He is one of the few profs that I hold in high regard.

Very good professor. Is a hard-ass, but fun and caring. Know your work and pay attention. DO NOT WALK IN LATE TO HIS CLASS, WITHOUT A GOOD EXCUSE. Likes to be respected and hates inconsideration. Otherwise, have fun with him.

Sutter is a good teacher. He is interesting, insightful, and funny, however also very egotistical. He reads poetry (sometimes his own) at the start of each class. Overall, I enjoyed his class but he could be irritating at times. Lots of writing.

Very interesting and I'd be willing to bet he knows his lit. better than many of the other profs. at UWS. He can be a little intimidating. Once he remebers your name he will call on you 10,000 times in class. Not too tough of a grader if you pay attention
