She's a history teacher now so if you have other options: take them. If you procrastinate or dont read, you wont do good. If you wait till the last day to do the readings: dont. The quizes are like five questions and some are googleable; most aren't. for an entry level class, she shouldnt be so strict and abrasive. But if you can read, you can pass

This course has to be the most nightmarish course I have ever taken in my entire life. I swear the amount of work you get from this course the oral project where you have to talk to someone in their 60s and on a test you can't even look at the questions you have missed like what?! Definitely do not take this course in the future!

Absolutely AWFUL!!!This professor is incredibly unprofessional. Professor doesn't know how to properly run an online course. Doesn't grade anything for months! Does not allow you to see test results. Multiple question final, grade not available and still have five ungraded assignments. GPA on glass not available my points only letter scoring. POOR!

The only reason someone would not like Mrs. Gadd is because she actually makes you work. I would recommend this class to the students who want to improve their writing . This is not a class for those who just want to get by. If you come to class, participate, and make an effort on writing the papers, you will get an A. Mrs. Gadd is a great teacher.

Probably the worst professoriate had at Somerset Community College. I have attended this school for 4 semesters now and this was by far my worst experience. The work was terrible, the papers were terrible and boring topics. Overall awful class. The way she grades did not resemble the syllabus. I would not recommend taking this instructor.

This is by far the worst course I have taken in three semesters. I passed with a "B", but believe me, I earned it. She uses books that you don't have access to, assigns an unprecedented amount of useless web readings, and none of her tests or quizzes work properly. WATCH YOUR GRADE AND CONFRONT IF NECESSARY!!!!! I wouldn't recommend her to you!

I took Appalachian Studies thinking that it would be fun class and a great way to learn more about the culture. This class was actually horrible. She assigns a huge amount of useless readings. Her quizzes are usually five questions that cover a huge amount of material. You don't get to see the correct answers to the ones you missed. Don't take her.

I LOVE Mrs. Gadd. She is so fun, straight forward and doesn't put up with those who don't put forth effort. I would love to take her again if she was offering courses that I needed to apply towards my degree.

she made the class think---yeah, amazing isn't it! She doesn't tell is what everthing means. We got to figure it out. She does help, but you got to work. the reason some people don't like her is becasue she just puts it on the line, and says it plainly. SHe isn't going to wipe your nose for you.

Mrs. Gadd is an excellent professor, however, she is very tough. I had her for English 101, 102, and Ky History. She is really helpful and energetic in her classes and she has high expectations of her students. I would only reccoment her to students who are dedicated in their college work. She is not for the straggling student.

The class in itself was rough and you had to earn your grade in there! I appreciate teachers like that...i'm not in school to just be handed a good grade. I like Mrs. Gadd both in and out of class..I would take her again :)
