Dr. Garriott is incredibly knowledgable about government. He is genuinely interested in the class and his students, but a rigorous grader. Keep up with reading, put time into the papers, and take copious notes. You'll learn a lot from the class, but your GPA might not reflect it.

Dr. Garriott is a wealth of knowledge. He's very enigmatic about what he teaches and it's easy to tell that he genuinely loves what he does. He's a fair grader and if you put in the time you'll go far. I strongly recommend taking GOV 110 with him.

class is perpetually a day behind because he spends more time on important sections. Lots of reading, the paper is tough but support and feedback are fantastic. Boredom is caused by not getting involved. Also, if you wan to learn to write and write well, take his class! Can't recommend him enough.

I loved this professor. Not an action-packed class but the man is brilliant and laid back as hell. I was late for the final and he just laughed about it and helped me get through it unscathed. Put time in on his papers, though.

True, some find Garriott's voice lulls them to sleep. However, if you're sleeping, you're missing a lot. Prof. Garriott really knows his field and is fully available and willing to talk about anything. If you do the readings and participate in dicussion, you learn a lot.
