He's a pretty cool guy inside lab, has a very positive attitude and boils things down to the basics. I never read my textbook and am doing great. Also, he always curves your overall grade.

Bell was a great professor. I am not a fan of plants and what not but nonetheless I enjoyed his being my professor. He was funny and adding comedy to a subject you don't like well helps! I still remember his "catch phrases". Would for sure take again! His exams are rough but one of the FEW who offers extra credit!

Doctor Bell is so laid back and chill. His class is very interesting. I have found a new love for plants, even if I am in school for pre-vet. He is very passionate in what he lectures.

Attend lecture and labs, and come prepared to study a decent amount. Tests and lab exams are very straight forward and he is very clear in what you should study. If you study properly, this class is a breeze! For lecture exams he literally takes his questions word for word from the study guide he hands out. Awesome person and professor!

Dr. Bell is the rudest person I have ever met. He interrupted students, talked down to everyone, and just thought he was the best. It was an easy course, but he spent more time trying to be funny than actually teaching. He was just AWFUL. It was hard to not yell at him for being such a condescending jerk about 100 times through the semester.

I've had difficulty getting along with Professor Bell for a while now. Everytime I approach him to talk, he snaps at me saying I don't pay attention. I'm the quietest kid in class. He's got an attitude, but he helps nonetheless.

Dr. Bell is a cool guy! when I had him and had personal issues he was so understanding and helped me make accommodations that fit my schedule. The lab quizzes are very easy if you study and the exams are straight forward. Overall having him as my first Bio teacher went great and I definitely am more interested in plants now.

Hands down the coolest and most down to Earth teachers that I have had at UWSP and I'm graduating in the Spring. The lecture exams blow but the labs make the whole thing worth it! Cheers Dr. Bell!

If you don't go into this class loving plants, you'll definitely leave loving them! Dr. Bell is a wonderful professor and you learn tons in his class. His tests are all based off of a study guide he gives you and lab quizzes are pretty easy if you read through the lab manual.

It was a great class. Best lab I have had, low stress work at your own pace and he plays music! Lot of material and vocab so studying is needed, but he great at teaching it and makes it all bearable. Whooo Hooo Algae!!

Came into the class expecting to drag through it as degree requirement (it's plants,how exciting can it be?). I was surprised and am sure to correct any entering bio majors with the same notion. Bell is very knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and best of all makes the material highly accessible.

When I first signed up for this class, I just did it to get it out of the way. But by taking it with Professor Bell, it has become one of my favorite courses so far. He is funny and I always enjoyed coming to lectures to hear his banter. He knows his material and is fun to listen to. If taking BIO 130, I strongly advise Dr. Bell.
